Yeah but it's not really an "it." Had we consummated, I would feel more compelled to call.

Texting has obviously changed the game, but I just think a phone call is a sign of respect.

I know that's a popular opinion, and I understand, but I personally just don't need it.

I'm not a "talk about my feelings" type of person (trust me; my poor SO ), so I could see myself not really knowing how to respond and finding it weird. I'd be totally fine with an honest/genuine text.

Obviously, serious relationship is different.

Why not just call though? You think she is gonna beg you or something?

I've always been a huge fan of the I'm too busy with all the things going on in my life right now and it's just bad timing because you are really awesome speech. Then initiate radio silence.

fricking this again. You're in my head, JM.

I get that texting is the main form of communication for the younger generation, but I'm with you...calling someone in this kind of situation is the respectful thing to do. Even if it's a sort of awkward conversation (which breakups usually are, even after only a few dates), it's a sign that you respect her enough to physically tell her instead of just shooting an off-hand text message.

I hate how allergic people are to actual conversations these days. It sucks, and will only get worse and worse with technology.

My parents think it's crazy the way people treat dating nowadays.

Watch older shows.. Brady Bunch, Saved by the Bell, 90210, Boy Meets World, etc. and notice how normal it was to tell someone you couldn't go out with them tonight because you already have a date.

Now, if you go on a date or two with someone, it either totally doesn't work out and you never speak again.. or it is expected that you're basically seeing just them.

Weird shite. If all you've done is have a few meals with a person and nothing physical has happened and there has been no buildup/talking about emotions, it shouldn't be a "thing" to end.

Buy her flowers and take her for a couples massage. She has feelings too. If you had coitus, you might feel like that too.

Sounds like she is holding out in hopes you will quit taking her out. She doesn't like you but doesn't won't to hurt your feelings, as she already feels bad for you. JMO.

She's already made the assumption that you're gay. Chalk it up to a learning experience and move on. Don't worry, you're not breaking any hearts.

Call her. You never know when you might run into her again and she introduces you to her hot, horny friend

Why are you breaking it off? And you have you had an "exclusive" talk yet?
