Attempted murder should get the same sentence as murder. Only difference is murderers finish the job. Pathetic.

No doubt. I'm friends with a guy who beat another dude to death in a road rage incident and Hillar got him off with only one month in jail and a few year probation.

About 24 hours after the Kentucky Street shooting, another drive-by shooting in the same block where Ricks was killed left the front of two homes riddled with bullets. No one was injured. Three men are charged in that Nov. 3 shooting. They are Coats, Michael Onyedinma, 17, and Derrick Keith Guice, 21, the brother of LSU running back Derrius Guice.
Did ya'll see this in the article???

I hate Lawyers.
You can commit a crime, shoot someone, but you just didn't kill anyone so it ain't that bad. Have some random 17 year old shoot the lawyer and see if he doesn't go headhunting for their arse to be thrown in prison.
But damn donate some $10 of school supplies and buy a home (I bet it ain't paid off) for his mom and "its called making a difference"
Sure.

I'm glad he got that intervention before it was too late.

For anyone wondering, she has been known to basically be just a step below Trudy White in the past, with the occasional imitation of Trudy, like in this case.
However, more recently, I have been seeing she's basically on par with Trudy White.

This is absolutely pitiful. I'm sure this wasn't his first rodeo. The judge should be ashamed. However I bet she feels good about what she did, giving him a 10th chance. And whoever the DA was also played a big part in this, allowing him to plea down from two counts of attempted murder to aggravated assault.

Yeah attempted first degree murder. That's quite the "mistake".

"But you could have," the judge shot back. "It wasn't for lack of trying. You weren't a good shot."
well thank goodness no one died.
he might have had to sit through TWO stern lectures instead.

That's the judge who gave me 5 years probation for stealing a backpack out of an open Jeep in Tiger Stadium parking lot in 94.
seems fair that he and I are similar criminals
