I'm asking how the average DL is less than the average squat.

Not sure. But some people don't deadlift or if they do they go extremely light (I don't know why people do this but alas). Maybe that drives the number down

People not doing them correctly. I'm glad it's lower. That means people aren't trying to do heavier weights than they should without proper form.

Built like a damn brick wall!! That's pretty stout for 5'9. Must be on the good shite. I can't really left heavy anymore due to some nagging injuries (torn pec) so now I'm going lean. 5'11, 155, skinny but cut I guess. I miss pushing heavy weight around though.

How did you get this from this article?

If you can squat 2 plates, you should be able to DL 2 plates with relative ease.

but I would rather look good and be in good overall health than be able to lift a ton of weight.

Same here. I can appreciate some heavy lifting but after hurting myself deadlifting in October I can't say I really miss it. It's frustrating as the deadlift was one of my favorite exercises. I suck at heavy squats and bench press. My max on both of those are 225. However my deadlift max is 420 and I miss it....but I don't ever want to feel like I did after hurting myself again and unless the NFL comes calling (not gonna happen) I really don't see a need to lift so heavy.

What's a "leg day"? Does it involve women or chicken?

Experience. It's easier to learn the squat vs deadlift.
