You can bet the house that those who support the stop because he "broke the law " for crossing the street would explode if they were ticketed for going 2 MPH over the speed limit and their cars searched for "suspicious" activity.

A higher percentage of whites abuse drugs, and a much higher percentage of whites sell drugs, but blacks are much more likely to get arrested for both.

The "justice" system is a joke and is used as a form population control. It's pretty obvious that there is an effort to eliminate certain segments from the population.

I have no doubt this is 100% true for all law abiding citizens in Cincinnati.

We don't know why the cop was following the guy since the film wasn't rolling, but it's easy to see why he was arrested. He was obviously agitated and said that he would provide his ID, then immediately reached for his pockets. That's a big no-no.

No question this is 100% accurate in America in 2016.

1.) Leave the weed at home like a normal person
2.) don't start filming the cop and talking outloud how you are scared of said cop following you
3.) Cop could have relaxed just a little bit, i think he did use too much force it didnt look as though the guy was a threat to be violent

Whether the cop was justified or not for the initial stop is obviously in question, but what is not in contention is that once the exchange between the officer and the pedestrian began, the pedestrian handled it about as badly as imaginable. There was no reason for the situation to escalate to the point that it did and that is entirely on the pedestrian IMO. Yelling demands and refusals at the officer and then telling him what you will and will not do is completely unacceptable.

Honestly, this brings me back to that Kevin Gates video that was posted the other week where he pointed out that once he changed his behavior and stopped acting belligerent with police, he stopped having problems with them. This is why so many encounters young black males have with the police turn physical. It's not because the police just want to shoot or manhandle anyone who is black, it's because there is a high number of young black males that act like this when they are confronted by a police officer.

Got to agree with you on this.

WUT???

Any person with half a brain realizes that there may be problems with the justice system, but we are smart enough to realize that the cycle only creates more of a problem than it does to "eliminate certain segments from the population". Sending dads to prison creates more dads who are going to end up in prison. There might very well be a problem, but I don't think we're doing this shite on purpose.

And I'd like to see these statistics. Not saying I don't believe it, I just want to understand them exactly. Is it a higher percentage of drug users/sellers are white, or a higher percentage of white people use/sell drugs? That's a big difference.

If 50% of drug users are white and 30% are black, it's not some awe inspiring statistic since the black population is only 13%. I can twist that to make it sound like a higher percentage of drug users are white.

Also, like I said before, how are we getting these statistics, yet the arrest and incarceration rates are so skewed? How are we documenting that a white guy is a drug dealer, yet not have an arrest to show it. If the statistics you state are true, you know he is a dealer, he has been arrested, then there would not be such an imbalance in the statistics.

It's not. When blacks are arrested at a much higher clip for non violent crimes, even though statistics show the committee less. They are given much harsher penalties when convicted for the same crimes etc.

Then when blacks don't respond well to law enforcement others act as if blacks overreact.

There is a definite lack of respect among blacks for law enforcement and the justice system. The lack of respect is more than justified IMO.

While I agree with a lot of what you are saying, you shouldn't be required to show respect to a police officer or else you will have problems. They are just regular people, they don't deserve anything just because they were gifted a badge and gun. I got no problem interacting with police but if one is following me around and eyeballing me or waiting for me to mess up, frick that guy.

It's crazy to me to think that if he would have been cool, he would have walked. frick that, he shouldn't be required to be cool. The cop was looking for someone to jam up and he found one. That shouldn't be a police officers job. Why on earth would anyone trust police when they are actively looking to screw with people?

Confront is the key word here. The guy was minding his own business and the cop started it. Why couldn't the cop just leave him alone. I can't stand cop generated crime. There's enough crime without them creating more.
