The doc makers screwed him over, and he initiated the interviews in the first place. Worth a watch if you haven't seen it.

He murdered 3 people. I do not feel a bit sorry for the guy that the filmmaker "screwed him over". I hope that POS finally gets convicted and takes the express lane on death row.

ETA: I'm still mind blown he got off in Galveston. Arguing self defense when he chopped someone up into pieces and dumped the body parts into the bay.

The whole point is to get him to react on camera when they show him the letter tonight
we get that. I'm sayin if this is the case, then shouldn't the police be knocking on the director's door too?

Police aren't in the business of arresting people that give you more evidence on a 3 time killer than you could gather in 50 years

Hell get a stern "you shouldn't have done that, it's illegal" and then a thanks and be on his way.

Been watching the doc and the discovery of the letter was definitely dramatic. I thought at the time how in the world does this not impact that case. I'm with the above poster in that I can't see any charges being brought against the director and I also hope Durst doesn't get out of this again.

I could be wrong but I think this interview was filmed in 2010 so he's been sitting on this for almost 5 years.

Umm no

He made a movie based on Robert Dursts wife's disappearance that was made in 2010. The way he made that movie is what made Durst reach out to do an interview with him in 2014

I agree, but the state's own witness said that they didn't disprove self defense. I'm sure the head would have shown more to the story.

What's that old saying for photographers "If you had a chance to take pictures of someone dying or save them what lens would you use?"

Um yes.

Jarecki's interview with CBS This Morning.

Jarecki: Well, we actually interviewed Bob Durst two times. The first time was for about three days back in 2010 and we were surprised that he made a whole bunch of admissions and said things that were kind of shocking. And we thought we would go back to him again at some point. And then we went back to him again a couple years later to show him this new evidence we had discovered. And we thought we were done at the end of the interview. And he reacted in a strong way to the material that we showed him, and then he got up and said goodbye and we thought that was the end. But his microphone kept recording, we always leave the microphone on him, he knows that, and he went to the bathroom while it was recording. And it wasn't until months later that we had an editor listening to material that we had just sort of left behind, thinking, well now we've got all this and everything we've got, we're about to finish the series and we discovered we have this shocking piece of audio.

He interviewed him in 2010 and again in 2012.

Your point is wrong.

They also didn't find the final bit of audio until later in the editing process.

This doesn't sound like what you are claiming. Your point of this post is wrong.
