Where do you work? Commute has a lot to do with this. And do you have kids? Public or private school?

Southdowns, cap heights or area around chs/sja. Might get one in old goodwood if you're lucky.

That's a lot of money for a 3 bedroom house in the BR area. Better off living cheap, saving money, and moving to somewhere nice.

Not inside the city it's not. There are several areas where you'll be owning the cheapest house on your street at $250-275K

No, he/she are asking which neighborhoods in those three towns are the best.

Try Moss Pointe, legacy hills, Oak Alley... All are off LA 74 minutes from BR.

This can be true, but not in Southdowns. You'll be the cheapest house, sure, but you'll also be the house in dire need of updating. Probably not worth it to the OP. Hell, there are some houses in Southdowns going for $300k+ that need work.

There's not enough detail in the OP to give a true answer anyway.

You could buy off Plank Road and be the first to start the trend in that area?

Legacy Hills and Oak Alley Estates will be above their spending threshold.

I live in Beauregard and I love it as far as this area is concerned.

it's all Bocage, brah. Channel your inner OT baller and drive up to the house of your choice, kick the front door off its hinges, slam your checkbook down on the granite island and yell at the top of your voice, "HERE'S your $275K bitches! NOW GTFO!"

Profit.

I said this only due to proximity. We really don't want a bunch of dead-beat 23 year old little brothers stalking our kids. In fact, let me go edit that...

I just sold my home in Jefferson Terrace 6th Filing for right at $275. I absolutely hated to sell it, but our family outgrew it. It's a great neighborhood with great location...and the value in those homes are safe. Bought ours in 2009 for $240.

for that price range you are either in an older home or starter home neighbor hood in Geismar Dutchtown- Most newer neighborhoods in Dutchtown school district will cost you $325 and up-

Prairieville North of Airline is more your price range
