Gotcha. I've lived there my whole life and referred to it as Old Perkins. Guess I learned me something today.

I know. It should be called old Perkins if you look at map and remove I-10. But it's not. Confuses new pizza drivers without fail.

Just one person's opinion but I would look in prairieville within the prairieville primary/ middle school district. At some point they will build a high school out there and it will draw from the some of the best schools in the parish. I think it has more room to appreciate than Dutchtown and you will get more for your money now.

Ascension Parish has more than its fair share of trash, same as Livingston. No one is living in utopia here.

Capital Heights has a few 3/2's for $250-$275 right now.

Bought my first house in that area 1984 for $60k, sold it 8 years later for $125k. Wish I still had that great little house. It was 3 bedrooms 2.5 baths 1800 sf and it was plenty.

While the area from Highland to Airline is frequently referred to as Old Perkins Mike is correct as it is actually Perkins Road East.

Old Perkins road is just South of Pecue Lane turn left behind Highland Cabinets and it dead ends at the interstate around the Lamar Advertising building. It then picks up again across I-10 and hits Berringer Foreman at the sharp turn. That whole area is considered Old Perkins Road West. When you turn at that intersection towards Highland Road that section is Old Perkins Road East. It changes from Berringer Foreman to Old Perkins East at the turn. When I-10 was built it was realigned to continue to Highland by troop A.

I live in Jefferson Crossing in Pville and love it there. You might find one for that price in the neighborhood. It will probably need some updating in the kitchen... Maybe not. Mine didn't but it will be a nice home with a large lot

I'm selling my 3/2, I'm currently showing, but haven't placed it on the market yet. I can send you my realtors info if you want to check it out. Great area near everything and I'm actually trying to buy a bigger home in the same neighborhood (Tara btw)...

Jeezus. Those houses are relatively new. Updating kitchen already? Nice hood. Order a pizza tomorrow night and ask for MEEEE..
And you leave that hot arse wife at home to 'pay' for it when I deliver the pie.

on topic, you jogged my memory. Those 'bird' streets that you can get to 42 through are nice houses. Very much in price range as well.

Mikee, they are 10 years old so most had tile in the kitchen and not granite so that is the only updating I mean. LOL you think I would leave my wife for a fine mo fo like you to come and make her laugh then hit it!?! I know better. I thought you were done delivering pie? And when we do I certainly will ask for you bud

I would stay out of the Dutchtown area, traffic is awful when school is in session. P'ville north would be where I would look.

Call it what the frick you want. But use GPS/Google Maps and try and find an address on that street by putting in Old Perkins.

Your dad used to go to that bar down the hill? Can't think of name. Brians Place maybe? I deliver to that address now. Crazy to imagine how that was in 50s-60s as a jukejoint/bar kinda place.

Clusterfrick of the day right there for sure. The gate right Here says it all. Well combined with fact there's no gate at the front of the subdivision.

No cut through for YOU!!!

The closer to Bluff road the better IMO for Dutchtown area. That way you don't have to deal with 73
