Just wondering if the OT has a good suggestion for a "health tracking device" like a FitBit...
Just looking for suggestions.
Thanks in advance, losers.

Just being honest, all those devices are pretty useless when it comes to getting in better shape.
You'd have to be damn overweight for walking 10,000 steps to make a difference.

Go with one of the Garmin products. They have been doing this for years and will still be around when the fad is gone.

Garmin Vivioactive or TomTom Spark

I have the Fitbit Alta. Works for what I need, and not terribly expensive.

I got a fitbit scale once. I traded it in to Dick's sporting goods for store credit and bought a new Callaway Apex 2 iron.
Hope this helps.

Extremely inaccurate. Put on and zip up your pants, 17 steps. Rearrange papers on your desk, 12 steps. Worthless.

Get a chest heart rate monitor, download the app called Strava, and start running and/or riding a bicycle. You still won't lose weight unless you count your calories, there's lots of apps that will do that. I would recommend MyFitnessPal.

Not needing one is 99% of the battle.

I have had 3 Fitbits.
The "Charge" was lost on LSU's campus when I was carrying something. The band has holes in it that a metal clip plugs into.
So I replace it with a Charge and the side button broke.
I replace it with a Charge HR2 and the side button broke.
I don't think I'm going to replace with another Fitbit.
One good thing is that Fitbit will replace a broken one for free the first time, but if they keep breaking, the design is questionable.
There are plenty of inexpensive activity trackers on Groupon and elsewhere.

I have the Charge HR.
I like it, but I usually remove it when lifting because I usually have wrist wraps on.

I use the charge hr, it wasn't expensive and monitors everything I'd like it to. I find value in seeing what days I'm being less active, drinking less water (surprising if you watch it regularly). Ive had it almost a year and have no complaints
