What a day. I'm on vacation having a great time. Check in to see one old acquaintance was hit by a drunk in a crowd and a really old friend I knew since fifth grade, and was later my roommate was shot at a different parade.

He's doing well though. Out of icu and he's stable.

Future NOPD Superintendent Antoine Saacks was one of the snipers in the Chinook.
They thought there was more than one shooter, so the moved in on one bunker/stairwell on the roof after Essex was dead. I'll never forget the NOPD screaming that they were being shot at from the bunker, when it was their own bullets richocheting back at them. Actually took one officer's ear off.

Good to hear he's doing better. Crazy unfortunate. My guess is the other dude's gun fell out of his holster when he was taking a shite, and he picked it up and hit the trigger. Haven't heard much else about it though
