I'm just not cool with this. I understand she was mouthing off the the officer and not complying with putting her feet back in the car, but I don't think she should be dragged out of the car like that. If she wasn't complying by not putting a weapon down or something, that's different. Sometimes an officer just has to take some lip. It's unfortunate, but it's just the way it is. It's not against the law at the moment to mouth off to a cop. I would never do it nor have I ever, but it's not against the law. He should have just given her a ticket and went on his way, IMO.

Personally, I think cops have to be above that. Give her the ticket which she will have to pay for, and go on your way.

Flight risk? Really? For a simple traffic stop for a thin, short, female? And I'm the retard?

She did more than lip off. She got out of her car like an a-hole and didn't return. Accept your ticket for speeding and move on.

Yeah, I'm the dumbass because I think a cop should use some damn common sense and not make a big deal out of nothing.

How misogynistic of you to assume this strong woman could not flee a scene like a man could.

That darn constitution, if it would have just made certain people better than others. It could have easily made the police officers and even politicians a protected class, a notch above common folk that must be treated kindly and gently under penalty of law.

Oh well....

LSUTANGERINE, is a black person ever at fault? Just curious. Or is the white man just forever holding the black man down

They most certainly can. But why would she? She already went and sat down in her vehicle. If she wanted to flee, she would have right away. Once again, common sense.

Allows you to be an arse, it doesn't protect you from being subjected to penalties for it.

I just think for a cop to cross that line to be physical with someone like that, there needs to be more there. Yes, she was acting stupid. I do not agree with what she did, but I don't think what she did merits getting tossed and tackled. That's just my opinion.

Yeah, because nothing has ever gone bad from a simple traffic stop.

Plus it's always 100% obvious from the jump which stops are gonna be the simple ones and which ones are gonna go to shite.

So, no reason to treat each one with caution or something like, IDK, protocol.

I agree with complying with an officers commands; you will not win that one. That being said, that does not make it open season on that that are non-compliant. There are those on here that would support death for anyone that does not quickly bow down and worship anyone with a badge.

One must expect the police to use enough force to require compliance, however, it is still possible for the police to use too much force to force compliance.

Yes, yes it does.

I see no law that allows the police to penalize someone for being an arse. Unless you are suggesting that the police can act outside of the law to penalize someone. Is that the position you are taking?
