Luxury SUVs (ones that will never go offroad) are just dumb to me. It's a mini van. Why do you need the ground clearance and are you too fat to get in and out of a sedan? Americans love dumb shite, and this segment of the car market may be the best example possible.

ETA: I know I'm in the minority with this opinion, but as an owner of German luxury vehicle I appreciate what luxury vehicles offer.

Why, you ask? Ask your government. These vehicles are lower to the ground in Europe but American guidelines force us to buy raised vehicles.

The mini van comment is just silly.

Well give me the lower, European luxury sedan (actually made in Europe) and you enjoy the one made for the American market. I think most owners of luxury SUVs don't know (or don't appreciate) how well luxury sedans (namely Germans ones) handle.

my thoughts are you should never buy an audi for reliability.

I have a VW Touareg and it drives and rides like a dream. I've driven sedans that don't even ride this smooth TBH.

Some people in the US drive in snow.

BTW, the Q7 is a fricking slug to drive.

Have a 2014 S-line TDI an I would totally disagree. TQ off the line is awesome. Has air adjustable suspension as well. Wasn't cheap though.

Maybe they aren't big people?

Also, if they live in a city a Q7 its a bad option. The Q5 and GLK350 are on our list for this reason.

The GLK was replaced by the GLC in 2016.

Same, the wife really wanted to get a GLK when graduates, but now I think we may consider other options, along with the GLC.

Strapping kids into car seats is much easier in an SUV than a sedan. Plus I like nice vehicles and minivans are ugly. That ok with you?
