Vaccines have chemicals that are dangerous to humans in them. Especially really tiny humans.

Vaccines can and do (though rare) cause serious irrevocable side effects to humans for reasons not totally known.

Is it possible that injecting your 2 month old with 4-5 doses of poison at a time might increase the risk of said side effects over maybe 1 or 2 doses? I don't know for sure but common sense tells me that the less dangerous substances being put into my child's system at a time the better.

I understand these instances are very rare but they do happen and I know of two people that it happened to.

Vaccines aren't poison.

My children were all vaccinated - with the exception of pertussis - my wife reacted to it as a child and it was determined the risk profile was acceptable to skip it (in fact, my mother actually contracted pertussis as a child). I'm fairly certain that all 3 have now been vaccinated as adults (certainly 2 out of 3), without incident.

Having said that, I am mildly concerned with the increase of the number of innoculations and the rate and early age at which they expect children to be vaccinated - almost anything you put into your body has the potential to react with other things. Combining the dosages, earlier and more frequent dosing, etc., are always a legitimate concern. The younger you are, the more potential permanent damage you can incur from drugs, vaccines, etc.

But, at the end of the day, clearly vaccines for common childhood illnesses have been a boon to mankind. The risk/benefit analysis leans heavily to the benefit side. All children should be vaccinated, with few exceptions.

I would like to them to make single use, preservative free vaccines available - I didn't know this at the time if my childhood vaccinations, but I am allergic to Thimerosal - I learned this using contact lens products containing this Mercury-derived preservative. While it continues to be used in the United States, at least they have adjusted the protocol for under 6 year olds, the amount of mercury exposure per shot, etc.

Tried that with our first Ped but she didn't want to hear any of it and just towed the company line and pushed the vacs, plus she was kinda crazy anyway.

Left her and went to another in the practice is who more than willing to talk about things and understands why some people have issues and has no problem with a delayed altered schedule.

Here's the answer. Why people would bring their kid to a Ped they don't trust the kid's life with is beyond me. I had some concerns and talk to the professional I hired and trust to take care of my kids health.

Wow. Whooping cough is fricking evil, not that rare and can kill babies. I'll take the flu or pneumonia over whooping cough any day. There's not even any cure or symptom relief. There is literally nothing that can be done

Is the reaction to the vaccine that bad?

Obviously, I wasn't there. But Mrs. Midnight's mother claims hers was life-threatening. Of course, she's an anti-vaccine nut and is widely disregarded on the issue by the rest of the family, now.

Mrs. Midnight is also allergic to penicillin, and is able to confirm that. But, again, fortunately no reactions to the vaccines as adults. No whooping cough. No problems.

While true on HPV causing cancers, the narcolepsy scare is concerning (though looks like the narcolepsy is being discounted now). No need to rush on this one as one wont catch HPV walking down the hallway at school. Even if HPV is contracted, routine exams catch this one before its a huge problem.

Feel free to troll. I'll stop being so dense.

Good luck to your daughter.
