You asked the nurse?
Solid source right there

And since your irrational, Will you withold chemotherapy or radiation from your children too? Because comparitavley they are much worse on the body than vaccines.
The only thing worse than your grammar is your ability to draw an apt comparison.

You know, this is one area where Mississippi can actually be proud.
They have the highest vaccination coverage in the country. Unless there is a medical reason, a child can't attend a public of private school without vaccinations. They don't do any religious or personal belief exemptions.
That's because, while I don't totally agree with them, anti-vax people generally come from high income/highly educated families. So pretty much the opposite of Mississippi.

Not really. I bet that there are plenty of people who aren't comfortable with vacs in Mississippi. However, the law is so rigid that those people have to get their kids the shots if they want them to go to school.

Yes, really. I know it doesn't fit the narrative but it's a documented fact.

Come on, let the fine people of Mississippi enjoy their #1 ranking in something good for once.

Yep. Wasn't even any discussion about it between us since both only use aluminum foil for cooking. I do enjoy trolling casual friends on facebook who are part of the Jenny McCarthy group.

I hear ya, I just hate how black and white people make it. The Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System exists for a reason. They also deal with 30k reports a year (despite many issues going unreported) of which almost 5k are deemed "serious" as in requiring/causing hospitalization, disability, and death.
It's just as foolish to go all in as it is to refuse altogether without doing any research about it.
The best part is the people who throw out the "they just listen to Jenny McCarthy" are even dumber than the people they are trying to mock.

It should be illegal not to vaccinate your children.

It probably will be soon. Government and $ always win.

The discussion should not be whether to vaccinate or not, but how much at each dosing and timing of doses.

We had this conversation with our doctor, and they were more than happy to spread out the vaccination schedule for us if we so chose. We ended up going with the recommended schedule, but it was definitely a concern.
Any doctor that wouldn't be more flexible is not a doctor that I would want to see, but I'm sure if parents were having to come in twice a month for the first year to get a different shot and/or visit, they would be bitching about that as well.

I suspected as much. Which is why if you look at my response I countered what he said rather than call him an idiot.

I would agree with this. I also think there are a couple that aren't really necessary. Chickenpox being the obvious example.

He's completely correct. The HPV causes cancer. That's a known fact. The HPV vaccine prevents HPV.
