Im happy to be from Amercia.

Im also of the belief that i would be just as happy had i been born in other countries.

America is ok, I wouldn't be mad living where my family is from though. Would most likely be better but I don't mind it here

I don't like sharing my country with the Michael Brown protester types. They don't deserve to be here.

America is great because of the giant swinging dicks and the huge sore pussies.

We live in a great Country but have more problems than most. We are really fricked up in so many ways.

My second favorite is Spain, if we had their Morals love for Christanity, family values, we would be even greater.

Life in Spain is like living in the 50's and 60's. Our great Grandparents would be pissed we fricked up their hard work.

I'm extremely thankful that I'm American. But for me to sit here and say I'm proud for what we are becoming right now, would be a lie. I'm proud for our history and the things we've overcome along the way. But we're on the fast track to not being the world's greatest super power. I'm extremely proud to be apart of the world's greatest fighting force (USMC) but this country's mindset is in the complete wrong and it needed to be stopped 6 years ago.

I served this country and I am proud of our history. Our present and shite future I am not proud of. We are eating ourselves from the inside. America will destroy America without a doubt.

As for me, I'd say grateful more than proud.

That's pretty much how I feel. I have traveled enough to realize there are shittier places to live, but also how some countries do some things better than us too. I feel fortunate to have had the upbringing I have had, and the freedom to do most things I want. It's only recently that I feel like civil liberties have really gone downhill. The quote I always think of whenever I hear an "America is the greatest in the world" speech is from HBO's The Newsroom:
quote:

There is absolutely no evidence to support the statement that we’re the greatest country in the world.  We’re seventh in literacy, 27th in math, 22nd in science, 49th in life expectancy, 178th in infant mortality, 3rd in median household income, number four in labor force and number four in exports.  We lead the world in only three categories.  Number of incarcerated citizens per capita, number of adults who believe angels are real and defense spending, where we spend more than the next 26 countries combined.  Twenty-five of whom are allies.

Where at least I know I'm free? And I won't forget the men who died who gave that right to me.
