It's a PITA if you regularly wash and wax.
The finish is hard to maintain without swirl marks and it takes a while for it to cool down when left in the sun for a long time.

Rain and dust/dirt show up more. Just get one of those monthly passes at the carwash and hit it as needed.

I go about 20 times a month, the ride is always sparkling.

I don't regret getting it, but my black truck is really hard to keep clean. Water spots show real bad too. Birds like to shite on it.

I've had several white and one black car. After years of dealing with lovebugs, I won't do white ever again. Black cars or any dark color aren't too bad if you don't mind going through auto car wash weekly.

I have a black Yukon, son has a black G35, son has a black Sierra, MIL has a black Sonata, son's gf has a black Scion FRS.... Wash and scrub them regularly and they look great.

Yes, MUCH more so. I've had two of them. Scratches show easier, dirt shows easier. Without a doubt a harder car to keep clean.

It's a black interior that is hot and impossible to keep clean. Looks like crap unless it is spotless.

Yes. My truck is black and it is such a pain in the arse to keep clean.

I will never buy a black vehicle again

I have black. By far yes. A silver car never looks dirty. Which I had.

Insanely so. And the clear coat shows every scratch. I owned a black 240SX back in the 90s and will never own another black car, period.

Stay away from black vehicles. They show everything and swirl marks. If you want a dark vehicle, buy a dark green or dark blue. It will show dirt, but not as bad as black.

White is the way to go. Looks clean even when dirty

Only poor people worry about buying black cars because of having to get their car washed.

Yes, that's why a black truck is the way to go. When it's dirty, no one cares because it's just a truck. But when it's clean it looks really great.

One thing good about dark cars is that if you scrape the bunker or sideskirts, they're black. Light cars look like shite with a few bumper dings, dark cars don't.

It'll show more dirt, but I always just get the color I want and figure that out later. More important to me to have the color I want than for it to be 'harder to keep clean'.
