Still rocking the 6. Recently has started crashing a lot when on the web or YouTube and has shut off when there is still like 15% battery on the display.

Same thing happening with my brother and sisters phones.

I firmly believe Apple screws around with older phones somehow whenever they release a new one

My first iPhone I dropped in the toilet. Got it out because hey it’s waterproof. The phone wouldn’t charge so I claimed insurance on it(I was being an honest guy as it was my fault but under warranty). The new phone I got work great for 8 hours. Now the home button doesn’t vibrate. Every tone is exactly the same(ringtone). Safe to say I’m going back to Android once this one is done.

Also, before anyone tells me, I’m aware I can factory warranty my phone. Before 30 days you have to mail your phone off to get a replacement. After 30 days you can do it in the store.

I look at so much porn I’m embarrassed to tell anyone when my phone is acting strange. Just figure I got from some of the sick shite I’ll get into when I go down the rabbit hole.

It isn’t Apple. It is the apps. When Apple makes a newer model the app makers make apps that are better and better that harness that power. These apps don’t like the older phones.

I think the overall problem is due to the iOS 11 updates. Lots of bugs that have not yet been fixed. Overdue. Tardy Apple tech support. Uncharacteristic. Disappointing.

This. iOS 11 has been a complete disaster. Probably the worst release since iOS 7

Apple is slowly cleaning things up and I expect a lot of issues with older phones to be fixed with 11.2, but it’s definitely disappointing. This is the first year that I’ve told my wife (who always uses older iPhones) to wait months after a release to update.

I agree with this. My 6 has gotten slower and now will not work with the hands free system in my truck. Texas just passed a law that you can’t use your phone while driving unless it’s handsfree. Thanks Apple.

MIne has been doing this for about a year. Anytime I get below 40%, I risk it shutting off and not being rebootable until I plug it in, then the power shoots back up to 50%.

I never got the weird ? autocorrect glitch on my 6. However my voicemail has been problematic for weeks. Then last night, I lost visual voicemail all together. Downloaded the newest update and restarted my phone a few times, which finally seemed to correct the issue.
