Did not know they were gone. My first flight was to Houston as a 10 or 11 yr old to go to Astroworld. 40 whole damn minutes. Always drove bf that.

Astroworld was the vacation for slim pickings year. Flush years were Orlando or bust!

Had lots of fun at both

Loved them as a kid. Couldn’t imagine how disgusting and ghetto they would be in present Houston.

Oh man, I loved that place! I remember going there every single summer from when I was like 3 or 4 to 10 or 11. Catching an Astros game with Nolan Ryan and Mike Scott

In the early 90s we would go twice every summer and stay at the Marriott (I think) with the pool on the roof. Can’t tell you how many times we would go watch the Batman show and have funnel cakes. My favorite roller coaster was the XLR-8, good times
