It's a really cool book to pickup if you're looking for fair info. Google his name and you can check out his gallery in the quarter, where I'm sure he has some copies for sale.

Joshua Mann Pailet?
Oh, I see you've added to the post. I've had that book for years! Not sure where I put it, but it's here somewhere.

The Fair lost money, and couldn't pay creditors, salaries or much else. :(

Yes. They were supposed to leave it up after the fair for W'ank commuters, but that did not happen.

'84 WF was a blast... Just turned 21 and had a season passport during the summer semester off... Was there at least 3-4 times a week... Spent most of the time at Shelia's and Jed's... Chasing women in their finest '80's attire....

Loved the Italian village and German Beer Garden as well...

Had a crazy buddy from HS that would park at Canal Place, when leaving, it was always late. The crazy bastard would come down the entrance ramp and was able to get his car around the drop gate.. so parking was always free...

I was only like 5 at the time, but I distinctly remember riding it a few times. It was awesome.

This.

I remember it being completely badass to four year old me.

I was only 17, turned 18 three days before the Fair ended. I don't drink, and didn't then. The only place I could get into was the German Beer Garden. LOVED IT, used to dance on the benches, anyway.

I had gone to Italy in June, came back, hit up the Italian Village for espresso every visit, then to the Beer Garden for the night.
