My first time buying such a vehicle - namely such a price tag. Sale price is 65k for premier edition. My historic vehicles have been in 30-40k range. How much room for negotiation do they have on these vehicles? Or is it a take it or leave it approach to pricing at this level?
Figured plenty OT baws should have some experience buying high dollar milf buses.

you trying to get the LTZ?
Also there is always wiggle room. Ask for the invoice of the vehicle and negotiate from there.
Look at spending maybe 5-10k more and you can get the Yukon Denali. Much nicer vehicle with better build quality.

you will get a better price if you wait until the end of the month to purchase because they are trying to meet month end sales quotas, but GM will usually come down of the price better than some competitors. Plus I believe the 2018's will be coming out soon so they will be wanting to move the 2017's to make room in inventory so this helps with the negotiations.
ETA: no experience buying MILF buses but there is always room for negotiations with autos

Chevy's definitely have more room in their trucks for negotiating, but not as much in the SUV's. I got my Tahoe (which I recently traded in) used because I couldn't deal with the new prices. I'm just not a fan of the quality you get at that price. Paint wearing off all the buttons on the radio at 80k miles, leather wearing on the driver's seat, creaks and squeaks, a few small electrical issues under warranty. Then for the same price or less, you can get a luxury brand that has more bells and whistles and will treat you much better when you take the vehicle in for service. Granted, it is hard to find something the size of the Suburban.

Marketing got you. A Premier (previously LTZ) suburban is almost exactly a Yukon XL Denali. Only difference is that the 6.2 isn't standard in the Chevy. And they're priced within $3k of each other.

Upvote for that alone.
That being said, if you don't need a truck for towing, you'll get a much better ride with a van, better mileage, and as much or more storage with the seats down. We've had a Sienna for several years now, and friends are always amazed at how much I can fit back there. I was helping a guy move some stuff, and he said it is roomier than his Tahoe.

We moved from a Tahoe to an Infiniti QX60 (crossover SUV). It has noticeably more leg room than the Tahoe and looks much smaller from the outside. The only room difference is the height in the cargo area in the back. It's actually deeper in the QX60, just a hair narrower (which isn't noticeable), and a good bit lower at the roof which has only been an issue once, and not much of an issue.

Nope, I didn't have that many kids on purpose.

They are assembled in the same location.

That a bit bigger than the XC60?
I don't expect suburban level of storage, but after growing up with them I realize that we never really used that space anyway.

Notta. Ordered the wife a crossover and I have to sell my truck about the same time it comes in, mid-September...so I'm in all vehicle threads since I'm sweating this whole ordeal.

Good luck with that.
Dealers prefer you to finance. You're not getting an top level Suburban new for $50k at any time. But yea, other than that, great plan
