I sorta want to try my hand at getting dual citizenship just for the fun of it. (Doesn’t matter from where as long as I can keep the American citizenship.) Which country has the easiest citizenship test and which citizenship offers the most benefits?

Ireland is easy to get if you have any family from there.
A shite ton of counties will let you in with investments of $100k in their stock markets.

dual citizenship

good luck unless you want a Central American country

ETA: Ireland is easy if your parents or grandparents are from there

If you have Portuguese or Italian blood, and can prove it, those countries are easy as well

I think the going rate is $3million to buy French citizenship

It's free if you're from a 3rd world shithole.

They are kind of difficult - you’re supposed to renounce your previous citizenship - but they can be paid off.

Ireland is parents and grandparents - and your birth was supposed to be registered

It’s not that easy

I’ve been considering getting my Polish citizenship. My grandma is from there. I just have to get the time to search for her birth records, which I get the feeling may be somewhat difficult for pre-ww1 Poland.

My mom is Scottish. My sister got British citizenship but it wasn’t as straightforward as Ireland

The best would be if a parent was born in Northern Ireland - you could get British and Irish citizenship

Certain things can be arranged for the right amount of dollars and good looks. Just need to pay a dowry, have a good attorney, and willing bride.
