He sings and plays piano as well as his cousins, and probably could've been a successful country or gospel artist.

You just talk that shite like you have some idea of who either one of those men really are.

Jimmy, on the surface, in the many times I've dealt with him, is a very nice man. Not rude, not pretentious, and not what other people have claimed to know about him.
Donnie was not anything I want to even discuss.
I have been in both of their houses, in casual settings, and I have a real good impression of both of them.

You've seen a different fricking Jimmy than I have. I've seen him cost men their houses, break up marriages due to sending men on the road, rather than staying home, and destroy bank accounts of working men with families.
We ain't talking about the same prick that I remember.
Now we are talking about a sorry assed old fricker trying to buy his way into heaven.
I hope that bitch roasts forever.

Which two men? Dino Rizzo, who had his fall from grace when he got busted diddling an employee?
Jimmy Swaggart, who was busted mulitiple times with prostitutes?
Or MC Hammer, who squandered a fortune?
I don't have to sit down with a man to know that if he preaches godliness while at the same time breaking one of his own commandments...maybe he's a bit of a bullshite artist.
Does that make him an evil person?
Nah, but his word doesn't hold as much salt at that point.
Same thing with a family values politician that gets caught snorting meth off a tranny hooker's arse or some shite.
Or the teetotaler that tells everyone how they are going to hell for drinking on the pulpit... Then gets arrested for plowing through the local playground drunker than cooter Brown.
Practice what you preach or prepare to get called out on it.

If you are talking about business as referring to the second dorm building that construction was stopped on immediately after his "transgression", well that was just a decent business decision to send your crew "down the road". People in the business that I assume you are in should 100% expect that kind of thing, and have probably had it happen to you on many occasions.
It sucks, but I can't sit here and believe that the guys you are talking about that were "sent down the road" expected to have a long term job, anyway.

Take your liberties man, I don't care.
Dino is a good guy. I know that for a fact.
Jimmy is a decent man, I know that for a fact.
MC Hammer, I've never met.
You, I don't know, but it would be something to have your worst moments broadcasted. If every word you posted on TD was of significance to anyone, and you were found to not live up to what you have publicly "stood" for, I would not be surprised, or be upset about it.

He's from Concordia parish. He knows more about the Bible than anyone I have ever met. He likes to eat lunch at Copeland's.
Now do I disagree with some of his beliefs, yes, but his expositors Bible is extremely informative.
Btw, about his prostitute issues, he is just a man and we have a habit of failing. I know i fail everyday, I just depend on the One who didn't fail. Down vote away.

I can't believe someone is in this thread defending a total piece of shite. You must attend his church.

I know you're not replying to me, but I wasn't trying to defend the man just saying everyone screws up, so I can't judge him for that. I don't go to his church or agree with some of his beliefs. I have heard some other things that aren't so great, I do not like what goes on at that church. Just saying that I can't judge the man.

It isn't hard to be less full of shite than these people. This isn't that they were caught making a one time quick mistake. This isn't just some easy to fall for sin that happens to all of us. Their whole lives and everything that they claim to stand for are lies. You stood in the home of a master manipulator and came out convinced of his goodness? Shocking. That really means something. People's actions speak far louder than any words given for the sake of public perception, and their actions have been telling.

To some degree I consider what he does similar to people who stand by traffic lights begging people for money. He just has a more sophisticated way of doing it.
People can become addicted to religion. There are people who give up as much as they can afford because they are convinced by doing good, good will happen to them. He "preys" (no pun) on the old, uneducated and weak minded. I wonder if he even does anything to help others?

When did I say they weren't "decent men"?
The fact remains that they preached, to congregations week after week, about right and wrong and what they should or shouldn't do...
All the while they are slinging the schlong to women they aren't married to...
They might be decent men, but they were sure as shite awful husbands.
Sinners! Adulterers! You live by a book then and tell others to live by it then you best nut the frick up and keep your word.
I'm no holy man. Don't Claim to be. But if I was preaching something and then doing the exact opposite don't you think my feet should be held to the fire?
There's a certain responsibility you have when you parade around as some arbiter of right and wrong.

When we opened up the Texas Club in 1981 Jimmy had his corporate headquarters behind us. We had customers come in and say ole Jimmy was ragging on us in some of his sermons. Called the club a house of inequity and fornication ect. I think he would pass by and see all the cars and customers and get jealous. We just laughed it off. My dad said we made sinners on Saturday and ole Jimmy could save them on Sunday. We really weren't in competition with him.
