Yes, just started replacing everything with led for a while now. No drop in electric bill, but these things really do last forever. Kitchen lights are rated for 26 years I think.

Put in LED outdoor lights and lasted less than 2 years in both. Fug dat shiiiii

Not totally, but all the lamps in the house are now LED bulbs. We have a few fixtures that are halogen type bulbs so those won't change unless we'd change the fixture. Also have spots in recessed cans that are not currently LED's, those as they burn out will likely be replaced by them.

As for bill, nah...they're really not on enough to notice any drop in the bill. AC is the biggest draw for us. As for lasting, yeah...they do seem to last. In fact, I've even returned two or three over the past couple of years that had a 10 year warranty and failed. Brought them back to Home Depot and switched them out. PITA to have saved the UPC and receipt, but worth it. In the end I tended to switch them out because I have to deal with them far less often...so that's enough for me.

All my lamps are LED, and my Master Mirror has all LEDs in daylight color.

My home office also all LED so it doesn't get to warm in there if I'm in there all day with the computer.

Will replace the rest as they burn out. Bought the house 2 years ago and all of the cheap builder incandescent are going strong.

ETA: no real difference on my bill. My heavy hitters are my Water Heater, AC, and fridge.

Put in LED floodlights, front porch lights, and all the indoor lights.
Havent' noticed anything on the electric bill, although I didn't expect to b/c I know how to do math, but they last a whole lot longer than regular bulbs do.
I was changing my flood lights every 2 months. The LED ones have been on for almost a year now. After changing out all the indoor lights, I haven't changed a light bulb since, and that's been almost a year as well. That's the biggest difference.

Yes. At my camp house. They are brighter and last a long time according to everything I have read. I don't know about the electric bill yet because we just installed them. I love them and I will not have to change any bulbs (because there aren't any).

yessir.

but don't stop there; you can pick up GE 'smart' LED bulbs for as little as $5 at target on clearance so why not make your home smart at the same time you're upgrading the lighting?

IOW, put smart LED bulbs in, don't just swap them with LEDs.

I went all cfl years afo and now slowly going over to LED. All exterior lighting is LED except for one Halogen worklight. Interior wise my bedroom and the kitchen, living and bathrooms are LED.

I have 6 very bright flood lights outside that combined use less power than a 60w bulb.

To those that have switched to LED floods. Is there any truth to what I've heard about bugs not being attracted as much to the LED lights?

enjoy your downvotes (here's another). you don't like the best attempt to recreate incandescent lighting since the whole eco-crap was forced on us?

why do you hate saving money? you DEFINITELY get what you pay for with LED, if you want a good light, do a little research before buying.

LED - 93% (good ones) as accurate as incadescent
LED - 20 year+ lifespan (on good bulbs) backed up with manuf warranties
LED - use about 1-2 cents of electricity a month if you run them 5-6 hours a day
LED - smart and can change color temp for blue light in the morning, white light during the day and soft yellow in the evening for reading a book.
LED - you don't need a 60ft ladder and risk breaking your neck to change your 3rd story floods because you'll probably be dead by the time it stops working.
LED - put in an RGB HUE and drive your kids crazy by having it change from green (time to wake up) to yellow (you better have your teeth brushed) to red (WE ARE LEAVING FOR SCHOOL NOW!)

possibilities are endless.

but go ahead & continue to sound like a caveman when someone showed him fire.
