Couldn't begin to spend 440k a year?
Hell I could do that while working easily much less unemployed.
Don't forget you still pay taxes on earning

How does any lotto winner or athlete go broke?
Also, you think a 20 million dollar winner is gonna be just an unknown local around town?
Unless you plan on moving to another state, everyone you knew before winning would know that you are now loaded after you win. You think the people low enough to beg for a free ride aren't going to do it if you won "only" 20 million instead of 200 million?

1st thing would be to get the best and most reputable lawyer in the US
2nd get the lawyer to put you up in a hotel
3rd have lawyer pay off any debts.
4th cash ticket in.
5th take out a million $ get lawyer to put the rest somewhere safe
6th get a private jet to Vegas book an entire floor of the hotel and throw the greatest party known to man
7th whatever is left after the party you give to family and friends
8th get lawyer to put money in some kind of trust. where you get some kind of allowance.
9th live your life
