I just realized how awesome these airport lounges are. Free breakfast buffet, free drinks at the bar, free wifi, big leather couches and chairs, and it even has a spa for free massages. A long layover is not that bad after all.

I should have been going to these years ago.

Home airport is DFW, so very grateful for the Centurion Lounge. Also spend a good deal of time in SFO and MIA, so getting my money's worth for sure.

Do you arrive early enough before a flight or stick around after a flight to actually go to a lounge?

Most of my connection flights are in Dallas. I'll check out their lounge. I'm enjoying Miami's lounge right now.

They're Okay. Most airport lounges just suck nowadays.

Is this different from the Delta Sky lounge?

Is that the one over in terminal D? I walked by it a few weeks ago and almost forked over the $50 instead of waiting 4 hours. Luckily my standby cleared for an earlier flight so didn't have to wait around

Yes, there are only 6 Centurion Lounges in the US.

There are 300 Delta Sky Lounges.

It's a little better than the airline operated lounges. You get more free food/alcohol.

The Amex lounges usually aren't as crowded. You need an Amex Platinum or higher to get in. It's not THAT exclusive.

No.

Even if you count their partner operated clubs it's less than 150 locations worldwide.

Perhaps...but it's nice to have a quiet work station, clean bathrooms, and have a few drinks while waiting for a flight. Especially if there are a lot of weather delays.

Nicest one I've seen was the Turkish Airlines lounge on my last trip to Istanbul.

We use the AMEX Business Platinum and didn't even know about this But we typically fly out of IAH where strangely enough there isn't a Centurion Lounge. The SIA Lounge is great here.

Amex is going to open a lounge in Terminal D at IAH in 2016.

The new Centurion Lounge in Miami was ok. The Admiral's Club lounges are at least as nice and the one in JFK is really nice.
