The Stark Club was one of the weirdest places I’ve ever been to. Unisex restrooms, I think that’s what got my curiosity in the first place.

That place was awesome. Another great in Dallas was Club Clearview. Years later, I became friends w Steve and didn't know until later he was a partner and jailed for coke distro. Have heard some wild stories about the 80s scene from him. Truly the last wild wild west of a decade on the aggregate. Unreal fun.

Were you ever in The Crystal when it got raided? You could probably have a fun month with all the shite that got dropped on the dance floor.

No, I was never there when it got raided. But, I was on my way there when Eddie Vedder and that Cleveland Indian player got arrested at the front door. We got there and must have missed it by about 30 minutes. It was the talk of the night and we missed the whole damn thing.

There was an old movie theater turned into a club in Shreveport called The Capri.

We would dance until they closed at 2 am and then go to a gay bar in an old house called The Clue till daylight.

Burned a lot of brain cells up back in those times

I want to say there was another one nearby called Aliens or Escapades was called Aliens before.

I wouldn't risk it but the Aids prevention drugs are absolutely effective. Expensive but effective.

Yes, I remember them fondly.

A half was a good time, a whole was a great time after you puked.

Those were the best! You’d roll your nuts off for hours on them.

Exactly what I was thinking as I started reading this thread.

Speaks volumes about the demographics of the OT.

Once you threw up it was on like donkey Kong. Two hours later take another one and you’re good to go till the sun came up. Then sometimes take another one on the way back to the after party Sunday morning. Ended up either at the Lakefront or the Fly many of Sunday mornings.

Anyone remember Confetti's in Elmwood? It was originally the Brandin' Iron and later became Fox and the Hound..

Summers in New Orleans in the 80's...

'84 we spent most of our time at the World's Fair hitting Jed's and Shelia's..

Our weekly routine was usually, Tuesdays at Bruno's and TJ's, then AT II's, Wednesdays was Walt's in Metry and anywhere after that, Thursdays was Shanahan's and AT II's...

Weekends were usually slumming it at dance clubs...

There was always Legends, hitting on divorcees...

Anyone hit up Live Bait when in was happening?

Clearly, I've met a whole bunch of you. I moved away in 91 but was a constant figure in the club scene from 83 to 91. Really fun times. Loved the music. Still part of it as it has evolved.

Was called "the chronic" for a while but I don't know if that was "official"
