Anyone else remember how badass The Gold Mine in the quarter and Mudbugs in Gretna were back in the day? As soon as you would walk in Kyper, Egyptian Lover, Debbie Deb, etc. would be blaring and everyone was partying/dancing their asses off and having a blast. If only we could go back in time...

The spinning wheel of drink specials in the Gold Mine was great. One of the specials was nickel draft.

For starters there was no social media. You had to live in the moment and actually talk to people. No selfies and posting shite to the internet constantly.
Also, people weren’t so damn thin skinned. Now you so much as fart in the wrong direction and people get bent out of shape. I’d go back to the late 80’s in a heartbeat.

Ecstasy. That’s what made it better. Ecstasy.

Walking out of the House of Blues on SIN night and seeing people going to work in the CBD was an experience everyone should have.

The Crystal on Decautur. Ahhh, the Golden Years.
