I was born in 88. I guess we're kind of borderline millenials, right? Isn't that right on the cusp? We're pretty much just old enough to remember a time before the Internet being really everywhere.

I blame a little bit on parenting here. I blame a lot on our education system by not teaching these kids anything about personal finance in high school.

See, this is what's wrong with this country. Take responsibility and quit blaming others for your problems!

Yeah dumbass now take out a loan and pay that shite back plus interest.

If you listen to the interview, after she goes into the bank and requests a loan, she says it's unfair that the bank expects interest and for her to start paying them back during college. This chick should be sterilized so she doesn't contaminate the world.

i'd say low 30s-low 20s are millenials.

I get what you are saying but we can't always expect someone who doesn't have any clue on how to do financial planning to do it. Just like a job, it takes training. My parents took the time to teach me. Someone has to step up and take the initiative.

That's the basic qualification. People who don't remember a time before the Internet have a radically different point of view on how reality works than the people who can remember a time before the Internet was a part of daily life. This chick almost certainly doesn't.

They will pay their bills via money I put in their checking account. I'm not giving them access to the entire fund. That's fricking stupid.

If you're too stupid to do basic math, then I don't think that can be taught. Yes, she clearly had shitty parents, because she's a selfish spoiled bimbo who has never had to work a single day of her life.

This, both get a set amount per month and if they run out tough shite. The only exception is a true emergency ie: car breaks down, laptop dies, etc.

Yeah, I just think that it is barely. I think that being on the border I have a lot more perspective on life before social media and the Internet being pervasive than someone born even just 4 years later. Since the boom of the Internet seems to be such an influence of what makes a millenial a millenial I think this may be a significant seperator.

It might just be an arbitrary distinction though. You can probably make similar distinctions for anyone.

If you didn't turn on the TV as a kid at 6:30 on a Sat. morning and see three Indian chief test patterns and the farm report, then you all are fricking millenials so stay the hell off my lawn!

Yeah, I'm a millennial, but I don't think they're a part of my generation. I think an appropriate name for anyone born after 1992 is the iGeneration. Appropriate for multiple reasons. Id say Millenials were born from like 81-92.
