Bye-Bye 6.2l V-8

But

quote:

We’ll miss the roar of the old 6.2-liter V-8, but Ford promises that the Raptor’s new turbo six will be more efficient and soundly trump the V-8’s 411 horsepower and 434 pound-feet of torque. We don’t know yet by how much, but count on loads of torque and at least 450 ponies.

I'd like to see a 3.5l v-6 that makes over 450 hp.

Also

quote:

Mated to the Raptor’s engine will be the first application of Ford’s 10-speed automatic transmission and a new four-wheel-drive transfer case, which will work with a terrain-mode system to configure the truck for varying conditions (mud, snow, rocks, etc.)

I hope your joking. That isn't shite for a turbo V-6. I have 3.5L V-6 that make over 800hp at the crank.

That's the best looking truck out there. Always has been too.

You're not very smart are you?

Since when did any turbo motor make peak power @ 8000 RPM.

Don't have to look too far in the Ford lineup...

The 3.5L EcoBoost powerplant will also crank out ‘around’ 630HP

Well when you are off-roading the shorter wheelbase is better.

I don't have kids and love my supercab. Looks better and better for offroading.

And this. It takes almost nothing to get that out of the '12-'14 Ecoboost trucks.

Never realized they didn't make a crew cab. That's a deal killer for me (and the $$$).
