Per Mike Triplett
"Then he went out and ran the fastest 40-yard dash of any receiver at this season's NFL scouting combine (4.33 seconds) and the fastest 20- and 60-yard shuttles of the past decade (3.81 and 10.72 seconds)."

Only one is on the Saints roster soooooo he's the faster, more elusive and erudite.

I guess it depends on what you mean by fast. Straight line speed? Bush might beat Cooks in an 80 yard sprint. I read today that Cooks posted the fastest 20 and 60 yard shuttles in the last decade. I think Cooks might be the quickest out of the 3, and that might translate to functional, game speed.
After reading all of the comments coming out of the minicamp, that sounds dead on. Cooks evidently has amazing change of direction skills and can get to the last gear in no time (that does sound just like Sproles).
Bush had great change of direction ability when he was here...he ran around in the backfield all of the time so folks could admire that talent.

Sproles had really fast acceleration, but he could be caught from behind. There's not a lot of people who will be able to chase Bush and Cooks down if they're allowed to get behind the defense.
Most receivers have to start chopping, slow down a bit before they make their cut. From what I've heard coming out of OTA's, Cooks doesn't slow down at all on his cuts. You realize how big of a weapon that is? You already have the advantage as a receiver of knowing where the route is going to go. Now you have the advantage of making your cut that much faster. If Cooks is able to get the corners hips turn, they're done.

Idk. Everywhere I've seen, he's listed as 5 10.
Posted on 7/19/14 at 10:15 am to Patrick O Rly
ok, even a 5'10" guy shouldnt have the same stride.
but that is his official combine height.

Yeah, that's weird. Maybe his body is built in such a way that he's goes through the air farther with each stride than most men his size.

Ok, that's fine. Not trying to have a pissing match. I've just always seen him listed as 5 10.

what is funny, is if Reggie had the 10 and 20 yard splits and short yardage burst like Brandin, he would have been a better RB... and if Brandin had Reggie's top gear, he might be an even better WR.
I think we are looking at a 20 year old, faster, Steve Smith in a better system, upside of an every down no headaches Percy Harvin... excited for what this kid can do.
