From Gil Brandt at NFL.com

Gil Brandt?Verified account @Gil_Brandt Saints really high on DB Marcus Williams after rookie camp. Overall Saints had really good draft, also signed several of 50 tryout players

I hope he can be our Darren Sharper but that seems very unrealistic for his rookie season.

He's a ballhawk and has a nose for making plays, but he is going to be a rookie and there's a big jump from PAC-12 to NFL level competition.

So, what are your expectations for his rookie season? What about after his rookie season?

He'll be a range cover guy in the back. KV and Bell mKes a nice complimentary threesome w Bush in there among 2 other camp competition guys to earn a slot

Make the squad and hopefully contribute in some of the 3 safety looks that the Saints like to use.

I would like to see him get on the field and get some experience, but I hope that experience does not come because others are injured.

Yeah he seems aware of the football when it's thrown, I think it's a bold new concept to this team

I think he will do well for a rookie. We don't NEED him. We have Bell and KV. We can use subs for him where he does what he excels at. Even having Bush back as a vet with some juice left helps as well. Him and Kamarra have 2 of the best rookie situations to be in. They will not start... They get to be unleashed and utilized as specialty weapons. If LDE is improved and we can generate pressure on 3rd and longs he could have a modest but huge impact year.

He'll drop a few easy interceptions and get burned a few times. Then we'll trade him to Philly where everyone will realize he was a pretty damn solid safety.

Oh wait...

I hope he intercepts some passes, shuts down the run, and blocks some passes, especially on 3rd down. Those plays would = Super Bowl!

Honestly, I think the kid can start right away at FS because he is smart and naturally talented. He can be what they thought Byrd was gonna be and that is a TO machine. The kid from Ohio St is more of a SS to me and will compete with Vaccaro for the job.

i feel like its sort of a trick question. I know its not though.

my hope is that he doesn't get hurt and he get as many reps as necessary.

honestly it'll always be more of a 4-2-5 with Vaccaro playing as an 'in the box safety' or equivalent to an OLB.

Ideally, on obvious passing downs:
Jordan-Fairley-Rankins-Okafor
Anzalone-Anthony
Lattimore-Vaccaro-Bell-Williams-Breaux

looks solid on paper.

maybe, it does look solid on paper as you said. This is what gets me pumped for this team this year, they finally have the looks of a solid defense with lots of depth too. All around on offense and defense they have loads of talent with people like Oneyamata and Davidson at DT's, shite load of LB's that can play, (No dead weight this year like Kruger and Lauranitis) and talented CB's finally with a 4 deep safety set. On offense the RB's is deep with a talented receiving corps, and special teams kicking game looks strong.

I think AJ Kline will be our play caller on defense, playing the most downs compared to the other LB's.

Marcus Williams will start at FS by game 1 and lead the team in interceptions by the end of the season!

I like Trey Hendrickson & Anzalone, but we will see. I am optimistic....

He has great instincts, so if you simplify what he has to do, he can provide that extra half second to turn those pressures into sacks, which we apparently had a lot of last year.

The biggest thing is not giving up quick throws. We really didn't have a choice last year. We had to play a lot of zone and off coverage because of injuries. We'll be a lot more aggressive this year.

You spelled Analzone wrong

I'm still questioning whether Kihaha will be healthy enough to get to start over Okafor. Also I don't see Robertson being off the field at LB
