I don't understand how jones can be any worse than Morgan and Morgan on offense and he brings special teams play to table

Jones really disappeared on offense.

Edebali gets talked up a bit here and in the media, but he looks like just a guy to me.
He's no Junior.

But at least he can play the run.

I think we should cut everyone on defense and let our opponent play against air. That's what they will be doing any way. Then next off season go out and buy a whole new defense with new defense coaches too. Who Dat. Super Bowl in 2016.

That's innovative thinking. I haven't seen that kind of thought progess since Ditka traded a whole draft away for one player.

Another point is it will completely eliminate the injuries in the defensive backfield....something we haven't experienced in many years.

Anyone else see the ESPN article about how all the first round picks graded out on PFF? Stephone Anthony got the second worst grade of the entire first round. I don't really think it means much because he more than passes the eyeball test, but it was interesting and surprising.

Brandon Scherff graded terribly too, for those who were pissed we couldn't get him.

Yeah. I haven't noticed any poor play on his part in the run game. In fact, through the first 3 games, we're allowing an NFL best 2.4 yards per carry, so no one is doing terribly in that department.

I saw him make take one terrible angle in coverage. Last week, he gave up two big passes on one drive, but he had really good coverage on the TD. Not sure how PFF grades that.

Isn't LB traditionally a hard transition from college to NFL?

I think he's done fine

I think it's one of the easier transitions.

Yeah, a pretty big majority of DROYs are LBs.

SJB was super disappointing last night. He's been up and down this preseason, which is much improved over last year, and you at least thought he was on an upward trajectory, but after last night I have new questions about him.

The thing is Brian Dixon certainly isn't better. I don't think they're going to cut bait with him unless Payton is really pissed, but he might not be active for a while on gameday.

I was hoping Joe Morgan would show better this camp, but he gift wrapped that INT last night. And Josh Morgan hasn't done much in the parts of games I've seen.

I agree. I thought he was extremely likely to make the team a few weeks ago, but other receivers have emerged.

I think his skill set as a deep threat may be the only thing that saves him
