save for the fact that he is only from New Orleans when it is beneficial to him and he has openly ripped the saints/pulled against them multiple times...thug POS

I'm all for Van Halen playing in New Orleans.

As they open they can graduallly drop a banner of Roger Goodell as they wind into Running with the Devil.

They better play hot for teacher and let Payton's new gal dance on stage.

Does the host committee choose (New Orleans) or is the decision made by the NFL?

This sounds a whole lot to me like David Lee Roth is willing to play halftime. Judging by their last concert, I don't think he and the band are on the same page.

All that said, I'm for it.

I really want a Clapton/Winwood show, though.

Personally I'd just like a simple, quiet execution of Goodell at halftime a la French Revolution style, complete with horse drawn hay cart and all.

Frick No!
Did anyone go to the recent Van Halen concert in Nola?
Terrible. The lead singer was so drugged, that all he did was ramble on the chorus of the songs extra times. Then he'd get to parts of the song that he didn't remember, so he'd twirl the mike around in the air.

I could accept that.

But isn't it about time for Janet Jackson to get a second shot?

Went to the Van Halen concert in June. David Lee SUCKED!!!! I think 1/2 the people that went to that concert left mad because he did so badly. Please no Van Halen

Maybe we'd be better off remembering them the way they once were rather than are now - based on these critiques!
