Romo was ELITE last year. Brees was NOT ELITE last year.

Brees' Career Best YPA: 8.54 (2009) > 8.52 (Romo's)
Brees' Career Best Completion%: 71.2 (2009) > 69.9 (Romo's)

But then again, Romo attempted the 23rd most passes in the league last year so he should be more efficient behind that line and running game. And Romo has arguably the 2nd best WR in the league catching his passes.

Brees never had that, ever. That doesn't discount Romo's play which I thought was superb. You just shite on everybody you don't root for.

so what happens when Romo goes back to his old ways this year without Murray's running/O-line to lean on?

you know the answer just like I do

Romo was ELITE last year

Sort of. He had a really good TE, great RB, elite WR, and the NFL's best OL. He was really good, but he had more help than any QB not named Rodgers (the best) or Manning.

Brees was NOT ELITE last year.

Agreed. But he still had a dinged up but still elite TE. He mostly had subpar WRs. He had good but not great RBs. He had good OTs and a dogshit interior OL.

Here's a fact: ask 32 NFL GM's whether they would prefer to have Brees or Romo as their QB for 2015 and 2015 only, at least 30 will take Brees.

Jeez dude you got to go down to the 3rd decimal to prove that Brees had one season in his career better than Romo last year. Doesn't do much in the way of proving your point.

quote:

rees' Career Best Completion%: 71.2 (2009) > 69.9 (Romo's)

Completion % is similar to batting average in baseball. It is decent measurement but now there are much better ways to measure performance(OPS/OBP in baseball, YPA in football).

You just shite on everybody you don't root for.

Eh I don't root for Romo, Rodgers, or Luck OR against Brees I'm just looking at the #s.

Yea, you're bad at math. Even if you round up at the nearest whole number, you post was still wrong

Says the guy that just used TD% in support of Romo.

I'll take Brees and Payton who have already gang-banged Tiffany than Romo staining the sheets super effectively while thinking about touching her.

Just saying. Roll that beautiful Tiffany footage.

that was just a little icing on the cake.

The 3 best measures for QB play imo are:

YPA
TD/Ratio
Passer rating

Bro my database has them both at 8.5 if you gotta go down to the next decimal to show that Brees was better in 1 season of his whole career that doesn't exactly help your argument ya feel me?

yes, they will.

Murray is a great runner.

too bad for him he went to the Chip Kelly experiment in Philly.

having a great line is a key but so is having good runners. None of their backs have proven shite except for Run DMC but that was a few years ago.

unless he gets some veterans luck like Justin Forsett did last year... I don't see them running the ball nearly as well.

We'll have to go by this:

LINK

Brees - Tier 1 (6th overall)
Romo - Tier 2 (9th overall)

Agreed. And Romo was awesome last year in all of those facets. But Romo had the best OL I've seen in a LONG time last season, a good TE, elite WR, and a great RB. Brees hasn't been without help (including a few years with arguably the best OL), but he's never had a season with the talent that Romo had last season.

dang, i went to reply to you without the quotes and it cost me.

thanks for doing whatever it is your doing.

a bunch of fans around here lost their balls last year and acted like it was the first time the Saints have disappointed them.

I'm pretty fricking fired up for this year though!!!!!!

Bookmarking this for when the season starts and Tony Romo is leading the NFL in interceptions again:

And I've already got my April fools joke picked out for next year:
