It doesn't matter. The Saints are not going to fix all of their defensive problems with 6 picks. They need about 3 drafts to fix the "D".
They really need to trade out of RD1 completely and get more picks. They could fix half of their problems if they do this.

I hope not. CBs are such high risk pickups; especially 1st rounders.

Same with a single pass rusher, I have no faith we can develop either.

I was coming to post this.

Detillier is on wwl saying if their DT isn't there at 12 then go with Vernon if he is still there...

No, we Have to put some monsters on our dline. No matter who you put in the d backfield, they will get burned if you don't have a passrush

not like a dlineman IMO. glad you like my simplicity.

it's not fun being ran all over up front and thrown all over

what's common consensus, a pass rush can make a secondary better? you can try to turn the tables and say a cb can make a dline better.. but give me the guy getting to the passer faster as being more disruptive and influential.

look at Von Miller and Josh Norman in the Superbowl.

any ways, this coming from a guy who would have taken patrick willis over JJ watt (easily was my pick) and any other player to add to the Saints D a few years back in a thread.. what's patick willis up to?

you also called me an idiot and a homer when I said Graham would be a top 2 tight end in the league at the time.. right before his monster break out season.. then years later you started making threads and posts about how great he was.

all you typically do is laugh at people that have a difference of opinion than you..

if i had a choice between adding the very best defensive lineman in the nfl or the very best corner.. i am taking the lineman. i still believe games are won in the trenches. it's just an opinion. if things are not equal though i am very big believer in BPA.

i agree that the saints have been pretty putrid in drafting defensive players regardless of position, especially of late (2014, wtf). i actually did like drafting Anthony very much, and even Washington somewhat.

at least we both agree Loomis is pretty meh. at least i believe you share that sentiment.

Cornerbacks' value diminishes substantially when your front 7 gets no pressure on the Quarterback

Are there any ex soccer players in the draft? Someone that can run around constantly would be a great CB with our D line play.
