Position is less important than getting a stud(any position) in the first round.
Just hit the target dead center.

Injured talent is just as bad as no talent. Getting a stud CB would be a smart move

They need to take the kid (DT) from Louisville. I think they are set at CB with a healthy Keenan Lewis back and Breaux on the other side. PJ Williams has first round ability and hopefully it will show this season now that he is healthy. And Wilson was really good at nickel last season and Swann is a really good young promising talent also if he can remain healthy. They don't need a CB in the first round.

Makes perfect sense. Would be happy w/ either. The team needs good defensive players at every position, to be sure, but I'd put cornerback right at the top. Breaux is good but he's hardly a shutdown corner. Lewis is aging and coming off injury. Swann has a history of concussions. I mean really, depth there is a huge issue. Can't understand folks against drafting a good CB.

Lewis is 29 man. That's not old. And I expect Breaux to be even better than he was last season now that he has learned the NFL game. Breaux can be a shut down corner.

I really hope Swann is not done. We made a good move in moving up to get him and he looks to have a great future if he can keep from getting his bell rung any more.

We need defensive line help desperately and players who can pressure the QB. We could have signed Norman and it wouldn't have mattered. He can't cover a guy for 5-7 seconds.

Tracy Porter and Jabari Greer did just fine here.

LMAO...you sound like a woman with the word "fine."

It's hard not to like Porter after he sealed the SB for us; but let's not act like he was a great player his entire career here.

I have mentioned elsewhere that besides now 29, we really do not have insight into the health of Keenan Lewis. He may be back 100% or he may have lingering issues. If the latter then CB makes a whole lot more sense.

What I don't like is that corners may have the second most % of busts after QBs. 2013 #9 overall CB Dee Miliner prolly won't even have his 5th year option picked up. #6 overall Mo Claiborne has been a bust also as examples.

Which is why i used the word fine. He was very serviceable the time we had him and us signing Jabari proves we can sign and draft talented players at that position.

I just dont get people like you whose position is "we have had poor luck as of late at that position so why try."

I see what you're saying; and I'm not trying to be an a-hole; but let's shoot for something more than "serviceable" in the first round of this draft.

All I'm saying.

I agree, but this draft is loaded with talent. We can grab it in 2nd, 3rd, 4th. Just not sure you get that at corner at those rounds. I agree with the philosophy about building our line first but our corners are still shakey as well.

I love what Breaux brings to the table, but what if he does not take that next step? What if he gets another bad neck injury?

Swann is a concussion away from retirment, Lewis is getting banged up alot as well.

I prefer Rankings over anyone...But i'd hardly be mad if we got Hargreaves

Agree, but IMO, other than Ramsey, there is no CB worth the #12 pick.

I don't mind a corner, but if they do it with Rankins still on the board, I will decapitate a kitten.

We definitely need a badass cornerback. Hargraves is cool with me.

We have no true proven corners. Breaux looked great last year at times. Lewis has been good but is now older and injury prone.

This is a passing league where offenses have multiple 1000 yard wr's in todays game.

We need cornerbacks as bad as pass rushers/dl and Hargraves is a better cb, than most of the pass rushers/dl that will be there.

We need cornerbacks. We went after Norman for a reason. If you think otherwise stop commenting, cuz ya dumb.

Our corners would look much better if we had a pass rush
