Add in Jim Wilks. 12th round pick and was a great player for many years.

I have to go with Fred Thomas. No player besides Aaron Brooks has ever pissed me off as much as him. But looking back, he always played hard and gave 100%.

Brooks is another that qualifies as under appreciated.

This. Wilks was a great player by any standard, but especially when you consider he was a 12th round draft pick.

Billy Kilmer...they threw him out to sign some crappy rookie from Ole Miss. He went on to lead the Redskins to the SB.

I have to go with Aaron Brooks as well...no doubt he could piss off some folks, and it's fair to say he under-achieved, but his numbers were pretty damn good and a playoff win is a playoff win - especially when the franchise never had one before. Is he my favorite Saint of all-time? Not by a long shot, but I do appreciate his time in New Orleans.

Agree on Hughes - he finally filled the multi-year return guy drought the Saints had been suffering since Mel Gray left.

Bates looked like he was on the verge... then fizzled. Can't remember what his story was - Did he get hurt? off-the-field issues or just outshined by somebody else?

Kafka and Gulf Coast Tiger are correct in my humble opinion.

Myers was an All-Pro and Pro-Bowler when the Saints averaged about 4 wins a year.
