I feel like we should rename you "One Insult Guy."

Or something.
I'm not great at nicknames.

No.

I blew my load on the Sharper one.
This one pales.

I feel like this season should have been our 4th NFC championship season under CSP but sometimes the ball doesn't bounce your way.

They just need to prepare for next year.

I guess I could call him a dumbfrick with an unfunny Lebowski avatar. Anyway, his unwillingness to admit Williams' fricked the Saints in that game is damning enough.

what was really important about that one carry (in addition to the injury) was it was also a fumble on the 1 yard line as saints were about to score after a long drive on the saints first possession

they really should not have even needed a defensive stop

it was a game for the ages. that one tackle early in the game was so eventful

Saints would have won the Super Bowl that year were it not for Gregg Williams moronic schemes.

That and losing to the lowly pathetic Rams. Sound familiar?

I wish people wouldn't bring up this game anymore. It literally sickens me. Most heartbreaking loss I have ever experienced. I forever hope Alex smith rots.

Dunno what a dipshot is but Saints D was mostly fueled by Darren Keep Your Hands to Yourself Sharper's turnovers. Gregg Williams was a clueless dipshit married to the blitz and, in the end, refused to do the obvious thing ensuring coverage on Vernon Davis. Now… I know you were like five years old at the time so it might be hard for you to remember.

GW defense was also much different in 09. We played a lot of press man in 09 and let Sharper roam around. In '11 he started doing this asinine all out blitz with the corners playing off man, which led to easy completions followed by missed tackles. We gave up so many 3rd downs.

My refrigerator still has a dent on it from the first half of that game. Really the last time I ever got upset about sporting event.

Lost count of how many times I raged over that. Completely asinine.

Thomas was hurt on a pass out of the backfield. Would have been called helmet to helmet this year. I was surprised it wasn't called then, but on the road, and the fact it wasn't called quite as much a couple of years ago worked against us.

Yeah. Roman Harper one on one with one of the fastest TEs in the game, whilst blitzing San Fran deep in their own territory with little time on the clock was quintessential Greg Williams dumbassery. That game still hurts.

That 2011 Saints team should have won the SB that year.

We were one player away from the SB that year; Kenny Vaccaro. Harper couldn't check Davis man

I thought it was a helmet to helmet hit but could not remember until I saw the video again.

Also, I thought there was or is a rule that once a player is determined to be defenseless (due to concussion or some other bad injury like a broken leg), then the play is ruled over and there cannot be a recovery of a fumble by the opposing team?

One of the most painful losses for me ever.

It was a bad time in my life. Couple of weeks before the game my wife suffered a miscarriage. It was going to be our first child and we were beyond excited. I had never felt a greater sadness in my life. I remember dealing with the loss by saying.. well at least LSU is in the national championship game. Well after that game, I said.. at least the saints are still alive.

I cried after that saints game, something that I've never done before. It wasn't just because the saints lost, but the thought that there were no more distractions to take my mind away from what had transpired just weeks ago.

That feeling will always be with me when I think of the 2011 Saints team.

Damn, man, sorry to hear about that. I will forever remember 2012 as the worst sports year in my life with the LSU loss, Saints loss, and the bounty horseshite. But what you said happened before is terrible. I hope things have gotten better

Are you happy with this thread now, SuperSaint?

immediately after that loss you just knew the Giants were going to knockoff the Packers setting up what would have been a home NFCCG
