Yeah Morgan is really the only other deep threat we have other than Cooks which is why I think he will make it over some of the other guys

I hope so. He adds explosive speed that no one has on offense outside of Cooks (and maybe Spiller if he ever plays)

Yeah if we only have Cooks stretching the field it will limit what we can do offensively and also limited what Cooks can do.

Just like when we had only Stills the year before we drafted Cooks. Stills had to play the deep role and almost only the deep role because we had no one else that year.

And Joe? Has he been playing lights out? Catching everything in sight? ummmm, nope.

He had 5 catches on 7 targets before today. I know he had at least one catch today.

So yeah doing well Joe.

Edit:
Joe has three catches so far. Only Snead has more with four. So yeah Joe doing really well.

Also, just like when I said something about Coleman, Josh had to go and make a catch. Both on crossers too. Each still with only one catch.

Going to be an incredibly mediocre WR group regardless.

Murphy is making the team as a RB/return specialist.

Cooks, Colston, Coleman, Snead and Joe Morgan as WR

As someone said, you do realize that Joe and Murphy play different positions right? And that we keep at least 5 WRs and 3 HBs regardless of special teams? So Murphy making it has ZERO bearing on Joe, especially since Joe isn't competing for the return spot.

It basically came down to Murphy and Saunders and Murphy clearly spanked him.

So if I had to make a list it would be Cooks, Colston, Joe Morgan, Snead, and Coleman. Highly likely no 6th receiver as Murphy is now a lock as the 4th HB and return man.

The Saints are keeping 6 WRs, usually they keep 5 with Jimmy Graham as your 6th pass catcher.

Snead is playing great. I'm not so sold on Coleman at this point. He really hasn't done much.
