CONGRATULATIONS RICKEY

Well deserved in my opinion, but I'm not sure he was the best of the Dome Patrol. Who was better with Vaughn Johnson, Sam Mills, Rickey, or Pat Swilling. Crazy as it sounds - Vaughn Johnson was incredible at times.

RJ was good . BUT NOT HALL worthy!!!
bullshite. he played in a small market on a losing team for the majority of his career, that is why this was put off for so long. BUT HE IS MORE THAN WORTHY. You clearly know nothing about RJ or football.

Congrats. To my favorite Saint of all time..

My favorite Saint of all time and a great pick to be the first Saint to represent us in the Hall of Fame. He was a one man wrecking crew rushing the passer, dropping into coverage, stopping the run, and stripping the ball. He was playing Gregg Williams style ball for us 25 years ago. Congratulations Mr. Jackson you surely deserve this honor.

One of my all time favorite players. The Dome Patrol was the greatest. I really loved to see them play.

So happy for Rickey. He's had his personal battles in life just like all of us, but this is really a great gift to him. He deserves it. I honestly didnt think he would get in tbh but obviously glad he did.

Rickey Jackson finally gets the credit he rightly earned and deserved. This has been a long time coming for City Champ. His statistical numbers blow Tippett's away, and are almost identical to Lawerence Taylor.
I am surprised they voted him in the 1st time he was a finalist, but I am not surprised he made it. Rickey Jackson may have personal issues, but for what he did on the football field, he is very very worthy of the NFL Hall of Fame. The seal has been broken. Now line up - Willie Roaf, Drew Brees, Morten Andersen.

Anyone who watched him play knows this was well deserved. Rickey had an insane sack total and I believe he held the record for recovering fumbles, indicating how he was always around the ball. He was an intimidating prescence throughout his career and I always felt he was responsible for the success of the Dome Patrol. Swilling was the speed guy, Mills was the defensive Q-back and run stopper, Johnson was a tackling beast, but Rickey did it all. And he did it all before the rest of them got there on some very bad teams.
I recall reading that sack totals weren't accurately kept early in his career so his total might be even higher.
