I'd say 9-7/10-6.

Assuming we get Malcolm Butler & he performs like a #1 CB, to go along with successfully addressing our need for a legit DE in the draft...I'll say 10-6 at the very least.

If we screw those 2 positions up...I'll say 7-9 again. As far as 2017, it pretty much boils down to those 2 positions & staying healthy. Getting production from other positions in the draft is just a bonus imo.

No point to predict before the draft

Some BR writer also predicted we go 7-9 again. Most of these "experts" usually predict teams to have similar records to the previous season.

The Saints haven't really done anything to improve their previous record. Still time to do so, but I feel like, with the players that are on the roster right now, look for an NFL-record fourth straight 7-9 record.

That's not exactly a safe assumption. shite maybe you'll get him tomorrow though.

True. It's either that or hit on a CB in the 1st 2 rounds. The board is kind of split on this, but I'd rather take my chances with Butler than banking on a rookie CB to produce by week 1. Either way...hopefully it works out for us in the end.

I disagree. Signing Warford was huge in upgrading our line and Klien makes our LBers better. Not earth shattering moves, but our signings the offseason were very similar to what Payton and Loomis did when they first came here. Solid vets that fillin needs and one options for the draft.

The only player we've lost(that's worth a damn) is Cooks, & we got #32 + moved from the 4th to the 3rd round in exchange for him.

We've added Warford, Klein, Ginn, Okafor, Te'o, & Rafael Bush. Combine that with 5 picks in the 1st 3 rounds & it's looking up. Might even get a #1 CB for one of those picks. Unless we completely whiff on the draft...this team should easily be better than last year.

We also got rid of all the dead weight coaches, which might have been the most important thing. Plenty of reasons to be optimistic.

Loss of cooks is somewhat offset by Ginn alone. Adding Warford makes it a huge positive.

Klein, Okafor, Te'o, and Bush are better than Stupar, mauti, and Kruger easily.

Also, something that nobody seems to mention...We're a young team with guys that are still improving & guys that are in their prime. Brees & Strief are basically the only old guys on the roster. That was the point of the rebuild. Get rid of all the old guys that were overpaid/in decline, & replace them with young guys/guys in their prime that outplay or match their salary...relative to their production.

Unless Brees/Strief fall off a cliff this year...we should be just as good or better at every position besides WR. Michael Thomas could take a jump forward into elite status, & Ginn will probably have the best year of his career playing with Brees. Technically, that position could even out as well.

We went 7-9 last year with a worse roster, stale coaches, & basically half of our starters wound up on the IR.

Here come the downvotes, but this schedule and roster right now has 8-8 written all over it. Ceiling 10-6.

I'd go around 8-8 or 9-7.

I think there were plenty games that were winnable last year. If we can learn to win as a team again then we could hit double digit wins for sure. Until this actually happens though I'll just give us a modest uptick.

10-6 if we don't frick up the draft.

Go defense, go hard, trade back when applicable.
