Or he can pay an agreed amount to get out of it. Neither I nor you know what the terms are. Bitching one way or another is kind of useless because we dont know what the terms are

I agree with that. I never said they dont pay if they breach it. Or they buy out the remaining part of it.
This is not college. When is the last time an NFL coach bought out his contract?

Or.... Both sides can say things have changed since we signed this contract and neither side is happy. Let's sit down and see if there's another way forward.

Who has ever said Payton isn't happy here? That's never been part of the narrative here

In the end most people here dont want to see him go. Hope they can all hash this shite out.

Are you kidding? This board is full of posts saying "it's been obvious Payton hasn't been happy for a while now"

I don't happen to agree, but it's hardly an unpopular opinion on this site.

You dont look for other jobs if you are happy.

Or it could be a powerplay for an extension.

Sean did not do a great job at squashing these rumors imo.

Not necessarily true from personal experience

Certainly possible

Not sure what else you wanted him to say

Or "not happy" means "not happy with my level of control" and not necessarily "I'm not happy coaching this team and I want out"

SP and Loom are trying to hammer out an extension, that is all. SP will be here for the next 3-5 seasons.

If Loomis is controlling the Birds from this point on does Sean get that power?

Certainly dont want Ireland from his past and Chip failed miserably at having duel roles.

I said it was about the money and was crucified by all of the legal experts on this site about contract law. Repeat after me, it's always about the money.

Compensation? Like 8 mil isn't enough for 7-9 or 8-8 seasons?

No shite. Arrogant bastard knows he'll get immediate offers if he walks. Thinks he's worth 10 mil.....
