I'm highly uninterested in seeing a new coach on this team right now.

As much absolute venom that Payton has shown the media, we know that Rap doesn't know shite about SP's state of mind, because he certainly isn't telling Rap shite.

The only media guy we know that SP tolerates is Glazer. What he says is what I would watch.

You guys realize that if Payton leaves our new coach will be Mike Smith, right?

This is more or less what Glazer reported. And what any normal person should have expected. All the people wanting Payton gone are dumb. Fire McMahon, hire Pettine, call Bobby April today, cross fit on Tuesday, press conference on Wednesday, slay sorostitute on Thursday. Business as usual.

I've been thinking about this "2nd round pick" report thats been out there all day. What if the Saints actually did release this, but only to gauge teams interest. I'd guess about 10-12 teams would be interested in bringing in Payton for a 2nd rd pick. The Saints then let the teams engage in a bidding war for CSP. Before too long one team offers a second rd pick and a 1st rd pick. Another team counters with 2 1st rd picks. Other team drop off, before too long you have two teams battling it out for Payton. One team wins, then the Saints go to Payton and tell them the Colts have offered us their entire 2016 draft and a '17 second rounder for you, do you want to go? Payton then realizes if he goes, he wouldn't have a single draft pick this season and declines. Sean Payton stays. Either that or he goes and the Saints have the Colts entire 2016 draft

What happened in one week that led Payton to say he sees himself coaching saints in the future to know this? Is the Giants job that good he can't pass it up.
Payton's reasons for staying include being close to his family and established relationship with the organization.

The saints are rebuilding and going in the right direction makes little to no sense for loomis to get rid of a coach in a rebuilding process. Something had to happen.

Nothing wrong with looking at all his options.

It seems like some of his destinations are closing though.

Miami is not an option tweeted by PFT

Indy may actually end up keeping Pagano

SF and Chip seem like a decent match. He can mold Kaepernick but can he get along with that GM?

Chargers are keeping McCoy
