Brown Completely Lost

Wow, he just stuck one arm out and then watched Quinn run by while Grubbs tried in vain to peel off and block him. No wonder he was benched.

hard to tell, looked like he had assumed he had better inside help with grubbs not protecting anybody else on the play. Grubbs didn't have great inside position to help out and Terron was content not getting beat on the outside. Quin beasted the two.

Sack

Another sack by Quinn. All Brown had to do here was ride Quinn out and around the pocket so Brees could step up......tackle 101.

Not really trying to beat up a benched Brown, but seriously, the 2 videos I posted were pathetic. This one speaks for itself, but in the first one, even though Quinn spilt the tackle and guard, the dude fell!!! He basically crawled to Brees and lunged to knock the ball loose. All Brown had to do was fall on (pancake) Quinn and maybe Brees steps up and makes a play.

I think he was stoned. Because thats as bad as it gets to just watch a guy go by. He failed twice on the same play on the 1st vid. Way to play up in your big money contract year big guy

Can't say I blame them for benching Brown, but it is somewhat of a surprise to go with Armstead, especially in such a big game. Like others said, Brown had a decent game against Carolina, and Armstead had not had any offensive plays, even as an extra tackle. I'm sure that Payton knows how big of a game this is, and wouldn't make this move if him and Brees weren't comfortable with Armstead.

ould love Swanson in the second round, but I don't think he makes it to the late 50s/lower 60s. Would rather not use a first on a

Does this have the potential for disaster? Sure. But I like the move. Throw him into the fray and see what he can do… can't be much worse than Brown. And if he turns out to be… as you kids say… GOAT then so much the better and that's one less position you have to address in the offseason.
