But there are more question at guard than any other position.

It's definitely something to watch for come preseason. People can say the games are meaningless but you can get a feel for the strengths & weaknesses of a team early on. Every weakness of the team in the last few preseasons has carried over into the regular season.

Hopefully we get better line play though. I'm not sure I can stomach another season of watching the team's interior lineman getting blown up. Goodwin was absolutely manhandled at times last year while Grubbs & Evans struggled being able to finish blocks.

Goodwin got handled in that Bengals game.

I thought for the most part the O-line did alright job run blocking. But that was one game in particular where they didn't do shite.

i'm not sold on WR or guard. I like Joe Morgan but he's sketched out on the team before. Nick Toon has taken his sweet arse time developing as a WR. Hopefully he's got us all fooled for the better.

I hope Lelito can win that left guard spot. But lets face it, Carl Nicks and Ben Grubbs are big shoes to fill.

i know Grubbs got some hate on here but he was a good player for us. People can say what they want about him.

The LB's should have a new look this year, I'm eagerly awaiting that.

We have two legit "chess pieces" in Cooks and Spiller. Both of them are interior players. We have a big lack of talent on the outside.

Cooks plays on the outside the majority of the time.

I don't have the pff numbers right now but this says he played primarily on the outside with a slot percentage of 30%. He also came out of the backfield some.

So yes he can be a threat no matter where he is lined up. He can also be a deep threat if need be as he started to prove. But it would nice if we had another deep threat so he isn't the one running those routes consistently. He is so much more versatile than Henderson was and it would be a shame to see his talents wasted as such. That's why I was hoping we'd get Dorsett but now we must hope Morgan (or as someone said maybe Saunders) to step into that role.

Honestly we have a lot of weak positions, although some have potential.

WR- aging Colston, sophomore Cooks (WR's tend to have a slump their second year) and a bunch of unproven and former practice squad guys.

Guard- Kelemente isn't going to start at LG, maybe Peat does? And he's a rookie, unproven. Jahri wasn't the greatest last year and he's not getting younger.

TE- Ben Watson is old and Josh Hill is unproven. He won't be the next jimmy graham although people are hyping him up so much. Be realistic.

NT- really weak position for us last year and we didn't improve it. Jenkins is alright but a good NT is key in a 3-4 to stuff the run.

DE- Hicks and Jordan were great two years ago but were quiet last year.

OLB- hopefully all the crap with Gallette doesn't affect him. He was quiet at times last year too.Spencer isn't the answer nor is parys. Kikaha has question marks.

MLB- Hawthorne can't cover and Ellerbe hasn't played in a year. Stephone was considered a reach and not sure if he'll start or how good he'll since he is a rookie.

Safety- if vaccaro plays like he did last year we have a problem

I couldn't agree more. This guys assessment is rock solid.

As far as Hill goes, Ive only recall people hoping that he pans out to be a uncovered jewel. It's been more "I hope that Hill..." speak than, "Hill will be just as good as..."

WR and its not even close ... counting on guys like Morgan, Jones, and Coleman to step up big time this year. Are they up to the challenge???
Still cant believe that the WR class this year was the best in the past 10 years and Saints didn't draft one?????
