It's almost like the Meachem situation from two years ago where we keep him off the roster for week one so his contract wasn't guaranteed.
Only in this case Joe will be on the opening day 53, which is really the point.
So if the bet was that Joe would make the roster, he has. If it was that he wouldn't get cut, you're caught on a technicality but that clearly wasn't the spirit of the bet.

I also said Byrd wouldn't be on the PUP. Yall owe that guy an apology. I'm on record of saying Joe would make this team and he still will.

I was always 50/50 on that one (Byrd).
Back on Joe, I'm trying to find actual times/dates but I saw in 2012 they had to hold the IR player until tuesday after the final cuts in order for them to be eligible. So it's possible Joe will be out there until then. Trying to find out if it's different this year as I heard a couple of reporters say today they could do that.

I am also on record saying that Joe will make the team. I've been saying that for a while because he is the only deep threat outside of Cooks and he proved he belongs in camp and preseason (despite the crazy people thinking that tipped ball leading to an int was enough to ignore everything else).

Nah, the bet really wasn't that fair b/c I don't post here very often. So if you want we can forget the bet or not, up to you. What I will say is I think the fact that Joe is where he is right now kinda proves that he's not as valuable of a player as some think. There has been alot of stock put in a 5 yr player who has caught a grand total of 18 balls. It is what it is.

looks like RG4 is picking up a lot of play on the waiver wire... so the chance of him coming back to the Saints practice squad is slim to none

So we know of six players so far, all guys who were final cuts from the Saints roster. The practice squad has enough spots for 10 players and we should have more news soon.
