I remember some of them posting after ingram had his big game

"well he still sucks"

then the same posters went after the philly game

"yeah, well he ran against a shitty run defense"

He becomes the second coming of eric dickerson next year and even then, people are still gonna hate on him.

He could break every rushing record next year and those idiots will say well he had a bad 3 year start to his career.

And if he's mediocre next year anyone who dares to say that will only be doing it because they hate Bama.

Do you want to quantify mediocre for us in preparation for next season?

The entire running game was garbage last year, so I'll give him some room. IF he's mediocre or below this year, I think everyone will be warranted in wanting to cut the cord.

I remember how frustrated I got at the Tampa game last year when he couldn't punch it in from the 1 or where it was. I yelled at every Tampa fan around me "INGRAM'S DEAD TO ME".

That should serve as the epitome of our coaches using Ingram wrong.

Why use him in that situation?
If we have RBBC, why do we use non-power backs in power back situations?

If only we had a seldom used TE we could have thrown to there.

It'll be easy to do as he's a FA.

Now if he blows up it'll be hard to get him back.

What if he hits 800 yards, 5 tds, and 4.5 ypc and 18 catches for 180 yards and a td. Do we try to bring him back then or not? He's still young and that is a pretty good season(especially for one of our HBs).

It wouldn't even have to be a pass.

Just give it to Thomas or freaking Collins.

Totally agree with it being a bad play call, especially since the line was playing bad, but I don't think Robinson was active that game and he'd be the only power runner we had.

Definitely should have thrown or went screen, but I'll give you Ingram did go down quick as soon as he was touched.

The only reason why I'm defending him now (even after 3 seasons) is because he's been put in bad situations.

Early in the season, his face met DT/NT as he got the ball. I'm honestly surprised he never fumbled it in the regular season early on because the handoff was half a second before contact a lot of times.

If he's given every opportunity this year along with our offense being unpredictable, and he still doesn't produce, you bet I'll say we need to part ways after this year.

If he fails because 80% of the time he's in and we run, I'm still going to defend him because that's not giving him a chance to even succeed.

If the run game in general is working, and he's just not cutting it, would call it a mediocre season. That wasn't the case last year. When the run game got good again, he was a big part of it. Our run blocking was piss poor to start the season.

I'm asking you to quantify so you won't move the goal posts later.

Like Hoodoo said, quantify it?

He was lousy to begin the year. I was pissed at him, but he turned it around. He wasn't mediocre then. He was actually pretty damn good.

It's not like 2011 when the run game was working but he just underperformed anyway. When the running game started working last year, he was a part of it.

Missing games, 500-600 yds, 3 or 4 Tds. In line with his career production like I said.
