In the NFC he's 6th in total rushing yards, 1st in YPC and 6th in receptions by a RB. And that's while basically sitting a game. If he has a big game or two down the stretch and you have a RB who is injured or in the Super Bowl or just declines, Ingram could realistically go Pro Bowling.

What will this board's reaction be???

I've always said Mark Ingram having a good year will piss off the majority of Saints fans. I still remember people being pissed when Harper made the pro bowl.

Pro Bowl showcase for higher trade value. It is a non issue.

Never understand the hate mark. Other than the fumbles he's been really good in my opinion, probably most complete back since Pierre Thomas

Um, he's been the ONLY back since Pierre Thomas.

I would think the board will give him all the credit for the season we have had.

Yay congrats on the great season.
Also will Jahri make it to the probowl again or have they finally figured that out?

To me Ingram leaves a lot of yards on the field. Rarely do I see Ingram carry the ball and think that he got more yardage than he should.

You can almost guarantee that if it is 1st or 2nd and 10 Ingram is going to get 2-4 yards. If it is 2nd and 3, he will get 2 yards.

It will further prove that the pro bowl is a damn joke.

I think the Mark hate can be a little disproportionate at times, but it is understandable in that the Saints traded up to get him, eating up a lot of value. He has produced, but not extraordinarily so. In a Sean Payton offense, there is much better value to be had by rotating several average RBs on the cheap rather than pay Ingram life 4m/yr.

He is having a damn strong year, though, and if he continues to play like he has this year then people will get off of his back.

Season has deflated any excitement for anything Saints outside the draft.

Mark Ingram has played well all year. Lol at people reacting to a RB fumbling TWICE in an entire season. According to all of these people our Oline is terrible at run blocking yet Ingram leads in the NFL in yards per carry. Please explain!

last year Ingram was 4th in yards after contact.

This year, last time I looked a few weeks back, he was in the top 10 (forgot if it was 6 or 8).

its an OL issue, he's breaking tackles 1-2 yards in the backfield yet still manage to gain a couple yards all the time. On the other side, I've seen hightower get tackled in the backfield and not make it back to the LOS...

numbers this year back that up too.

Ingram's stats have been above average this year, yet when I watch him I see an average RB.

No break away speed (except his one run vs SF), not very shifty, often goes down on first contact, rarely falls forward, always seems to get just short of what we need, receiving skills are limited to dump offs only (see Cadet's role), no return ability.

I mean yeah if the hole is there he'll hit it for a decent gain, but you could say that for most RBs. He looks like a RB we picked up off the street and decided to pay 1st round money to.

TRADE him while he still has value; this is just part of Saban's master plan to use his players to piss off LSU fans even when they're in the NFL

You could just make the argument the our run blocking sucks and Ingram really isn't that bad, which I could agree with. But I call it how I see it

They will want to draft Leonard Fournette because Ingram is the worst RB in the NFL who should be cut because he always fumbles even though he has one of the best fumble rates in the NFL since he has been in the league.

Interesting how an average RB has above average stats with a below average line and limited workload. Mark Ingram has passed by eye test multiple times this year. This isn't the NCAA you can't just run over everybody
