Have any Saints knelt for the National Anthem This Year?

Being a former soldier for this great country, I actually applaud what these players are doing. It warms my heart to know that I fought for their right to protest in this manner.

This is a country with few traditions. Those that we do have are being eroded by mainstream media and the fear of offending someone. I'm sorry, if you can't stand for your country during the national anthem at a ball game you are showing that you cannot follow one of the few respected traditions left. I'd honestly support sending these grandstanding clowns to North Korea for a year to play football.

Yea, you're full of shite. "Semper Fidelis" is a Marine motto. Not trying to get into a military dick measuring contest, but no Marine I ever served with would call themselves a soldier. In fact, most detest being called a soldier. Do your research before you troll this hard.
ETA: And frick everyone that kneels for the National Anthem

I am a soldier in the Who Dat army who happened to serve in the marines. Not sure why you are so butthurt?

Who downvotes this guy? He's right. He should be proud that he fought for their right to express themselves freely.
We don't have to agree with the stance and we have our own ways to show players our disapproval, but that's the beauty of this country.

Entirely correct.
Get off this guy's back for stating truths that y'all may not know.
As a Marine who just recently separated, not even the MOST disgruntled Marines that I have met would ever call themselves "soldier". There's a reason why we pride ourselves in a Title and capitalize the M in the name.
Being a "WhoDatSoldier" is one thing, but to say "being a soldier" is something that would ever be said.
No Marine, motivated or disgruntled, would ever call themselves a soldier. Facts.

Semper Fi, brother.
Yeah, no kidding.
I'm even more willing to guess that he didn't make it through either MCRD, kinda like that kid crying about abuse at boot camp

So you're willing to capitalize "Who Dat", but not "Marines"?
That's how Marines know you aren't a Marine, or at the very least don't respect the Title the way you should.
Either you're FOS or you're some boot who just got off the Island and have yet to figure it out.

I was at the game Sunday and not a single Saints player did anything other then stand there with their hand over their heart. The Chargers had 5 players, who were all standing together which I'm sure was a coincidence and not attention seeking at all, do the black power fist in the air thing for the entire song which made me enjoy that comeback even more.
A Hispanic Charger fan two rows in front of us also tried to participate in the power fist held high option but had to stop about 1/3 of the way through a 2 minute song as his shoulder was evidently not strong enough to complete the full protest.

I've never heard of someone being offended by the national anthem. Maybe there is, but I haven't heard of it.
Now people losing their shite when someone doesn't observe as its traditional observed? Lots, to which I'd say that you should stop being so easily offended.

No you weren't. I don't think in the history of the Marines that an actual Marine referred to himself as a soldier. Just being referred to as a "troop" is pushing it. You might as well change your name to whodatsailor.
Are you that creepy guy that walks around the mall with service As on incorrectly hoping someone thanks you for your service?

I think you're the one that would benefit from going to North Korea. What these players are doing may be appaling, but it is the epitome of what makes this country great. They are actually practicing their freedom of speech. Whereas, you and Kim Jong Un have something in common..."They MUST stand"...Sounds like you would fit in better over there.

My grandson wants to be a marine soldier but he has webbed feet so he will have to be a seal. He says he feels sorry for people who can only protest in these ways to be heard by the naitional media. He says thank christ we aren't North Korea because then we wouldn't have any freedom. What do North Koreans do at their football games, if they have a season there?
