Super solid picks. Both great character guys, which is a very much talked about but underrated trait.

Well done Saints!

Brees needs more time to throw and we needed help in the middle of the D. I'm wondering if they move either Strief or Peat to G...

Not trade bait. Depth for once.

I'd give us a B+

Peat a B
Anthony an A

If we can get Gregory or Harold at pick 44, the Peat pick looks better. Our skipping Dupree or Ray would not look as bad.

I've gotten progressively more upset with the Peat pick as time has passed. God, what a fail...

One of the most unsexy rounds we've ever had but it was long overdue. We couldn't keep picking stylish guys and win. I think this is a first round that'll pay off for a long time.

A lot of current Saints got better today.
Ingram and Spiller with better line play
Cooks with more time to exploit the secondary
Brees with a cleaner pocket.

Still need an another wide out but there are some good ones left.

How? Is Peat going to distract the opposing defense from the bench?

They are going by priority. There is one player on this team that if he gets injured our playoff chances are almost 0%. YOU HAVE TO PROTECT HIM.

How do you know this? He can definitely play on day one and we move strief inside.

Because I just listened to CSP tell us they love Armstead and Strief, are not moving either inside and Peat will only play tackle. 2 tackle spots. Do the math.

Sean Payton said Andrus Peat will work strictly at tackle & doesn't have any plan to move Armstead or Strief to another position.

Did you guys watch the Saints last year? Our line was absolutely the worst I've seen in years for us.

Too many free agents left and Grubbs has declined to backup role.

With Evans hopefully healthy, Unger a gigantic upgrade and Peat solidifying LT to move Armistead to RT we went from line weakness to a top tier line.

Go ahead and explain how exactly he is going to play. He isn't moving to guard. Neither are Strief or Armstead. That is clear. CSP made that clear.

You want to trade one of them? Great plan. Let's trade some above average tackles for a middle round pick and draft another (unproven) tackle 13th overall. That would make no sense at all.

Completely idiotic. If it was Scherff or Collins it would make more sense. Those guys can play guard right now, where we have a need. We have no immediate need at tackle. Not worth 13th overall pick. Other needs are more pressing.
