Sad news for an absolute class act. This is a rough business.

ACLs are not Achilles.

That could be a career ender though.

Great guy hate to see this happen to him.

Considering his age and how debilitating this injury is to a football player, I'm going to say yes.

That's a career ender at this age. Hope he can recover for his health after his football endeavors.

Class act all the way around, I hope he comes back here and stays like Greer, Lofton, and a few others.

A guy in his physical condition won't have any issues longterm in terms of being a really active guy after recovery. Will be very hard/next to impossible to return to nfl level though in mid 30s.

Lester is still bitter that Ben made him look stupid last season.

Yeah, he's a top 5% athlete in the NFL easily at this age. Still, Achilles injuries are scary for anyone

Lol don't feel too dumb. You have 4 major tendons in your knee. A lot of the ACL injuries are non-contact, so if you see a player go down with a non-contact knee injury that's usually what it is.

Achilles is difficult to overcome even if you're a young player. Watson is probably done with the NFL after this.

That really sucks. Always respected the hell out of Watson.

Hope medical improves soon to make an Achilles more like an ACL in terms of recovery for these players
